    so just rerolled ally but cant decide what race to make my mage

    any ideas or help point me in the right direction

    For racial, gnome would be the best choise due to the racial intellect buff.

    If you don't care about that, you can choose any race you want.

    If your doing pvp, human would be nice.
    Gnome for PvE.
    If you don't care about min/maxing that much, go any race.

    Where are you all getting int from with the gnome racial? It was changed to mana before Cata came out.

    Worgen for pve and Human for PvP.
    I would recommend worgen since it's good for both pvp and pve while human racials don't help in pve at all.

    Gnome is actually the shittiest pve mage race right now among ally.

    Worgen if you're late into expansion and draenei if you're not. Hit/crit is just too awesome.
