What priest race do you recommend for horde? (for pve)

Depends. If you're going to be healing PvE, blood elf is definitely superior. Arcane torrent is a great mana cooldown and it gives you something you lack otherwise: an interrupt.

Either Belf or Goblin. Differences are too small for min/maxing. So pick what you like.

Goblin for Haste or Blood Elf for mana. Both are good, pick the one you prefer of the two.

I think what Ethos meant was that gaining an extra percentage of Haste will allow you to gain even more Haste, as I know he wouldn't be silly enough to call the 6th Renew tick a Haste cap.

Also, is anyone able to confirm the goblin racials? I've heard some say it's simply a 1% on the 'cast time' of spells and not actually 1% haste? :S to me that sounds crazy but I'd like to know.

Sure, Blood Elf has an edge when it comes to mana for healing. To the point where Arcane Torrent may be nerfed some day.
And goblins have an edge almost everywhere else. To the point where they will never ever be nerfed.
But racials come and go. Pick something you enjoy playing. It really don't matter too much.

PvE DPS: Troll for Blood Craze (mini-Bloodlust)
PvE Heals: BE for mana, or Goblin for 1% spell haste.

Your call, though Goblin is probably the best.

Goblin or blood elf imo. I like the Goblin casting animation and Rocket Jump is seriously pro, even for healing. I use it a lot when the tank decides to pull and I'm out of range of him (looting, rezzing, whatever). It's saved many a wipe.

It's kind of like: OMG HE PULLED AND I'M MILES AWAY *rocket jump, Penance, save the day*

If you use the CD every time it's up, Troll ends up giving better haste[Casting speed really] for HPS than Goblins.
I don't know the math, cant remember the thread, but someone did work out that Troll ends up having the best racial for PVE healing.

I love the goblin racial but couldn't stand being that short.

for pve id say BE is pretty much unquestionable as you can gear out of some regen with torrent; though the 1% goblin is added in multiplicitively (ie 1.haste x 1.03 (darkness) x 1.05 (WoA/moonkin/spriest) x 1.01 goblin racial = 1.total haste which makes it stronger than just 1%

not sure about the troll racial math but id be hesitant to say its better from a healing perspective
