- All the starwars movies.
- All the star trek movies.
What other movies are out there?
Help out someone who needs a good dose of lasers and explosions in vacuum!

Not a movie, but Battlestar Galactica is an amazing Tv show that has alot of space battles in it, all episodes are on Netflix.

gotta Agree watch Battlestar Galactica, the series is perfect, if you didn't like the ending, the fault is with you, not BSG

Start with the BSG mini series then start on season 1.

firefly, the tv series that leads to serenity the movie (and serenity the movie)
BSG - the series, although tbh it got worse as it went on, i was bored of it by the end and just glad it was over, some of the fights were cool though
starship troopers 1,2 and 3
stargate SG-1 + stargate atlantis - atlantis is probably better for space battles if thats what you are into, but if you have plenty of time on your hands, you may as well do the whole story (stargate universe also follows on, but it's been cancelled after 2 seasons and was a little dissapointing in terms of what the rest of the franchise offered)

The Last Starfighter (great 80's movie)
Balylon 5 (5 season TV series)
Wing Commander (good space battles, crappy overall movie though)
and if Serenity wasn't mentioned enough in this thread already, it should be acquired and watched immediately.

ah some lovely movies here, BSG i'm now watching the entire thing, and it's going RLY RLY good.
Stargate, just one word, EPIC.. nuff said.
farscape was kool, still need to watch firefly it's on my list.
if your're bored check out Andromeda.. i'm a kevin sorbo fan since hercules Lol.

You have to watch it from the beginning really to understand everything. The story actually flows through each season. To me Stargate was always, one problem during the episode that was solved fast but maybe with a continuing back story. It just depends on what you like. Originally Posted by moaradin
