    Sports that shouldn't be sports.......

    ^ title.

Name some sport(s) that you think should not be a sport.

Don't just post a sport and say it shouldn't be a sport, give some facts and reasons on why you think the sport should not be a sport.

EDIT:I wouldn't count Drag Racing as a sport. They basically race 2 cars in a straight path, and the race finishes in about 5 seconds. All you have to do is put the pedal to the metal, no strategy or anything what-so-ever during the race (I believe).

Definition of a sport. "An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others" http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/de.../sport?view=uk
    or
"A sport is an organized, competitive, entertaining, and skillful activity requiring commitment, strategy, and fair play, in which a winner can be defined by objective means. It is governed by a set of rules or customs. Activities such as card games and board games, are classified as "mind sports" and some are recognized as Olympic sports, requiring primarily mental skills and mental physical involvement. Non-competitive activities, for example as jogging or playing catch are usually classified as forms of recreation."

Curling, and, as a Canadian, I 100% agree.

Sports are supposed to be physically demanding for the most part.

Curling and golf arn't very physically demanding.

    Curling.

    "Figure Skating" / "Ballet"
Although they require great strength and coordination, I personally see them more as an ART than a competitive sport. As they are based off dancing I feel the judging of the event is highly opinionated.

Race Walking. If you do it to fast (=run) you are disqualified.

you would be surprised with golf..when you actually have to walk around an 18 hole course and not in a cart.. demanding enough by the 16th on a hilly course.

Curling and golf are games of skill and intelligence, not strength. Sports are also defined as being competitive and requiring skill, not always physically demanding.

Horse Racing is actually a physically taxing sport. Not only does it require a ton of skill to perform well, it will kick your ass. Jockeys are small dudes for the weight, but they are super fit.

    Activities:
Judge based & fake martial arts
    Motosports
    Curling
    Baseball
    Darts / Non-biathlon shooting
    Bowling
    Polo or horse-racing
    Diving / Sync. Swimming
    Dancing / *Gymnastics / Break-dance / Parkour
    Skateboarding
    Figure Skating
    Golf

    Sports:
Combat sports (Boxing / MMA, etc)
    Bike Racing (including downhill, etc)
    Basketball
    Hockey / Lacrosse / Ringette
    Running / Biathlon
    Speed Skating
    Track & Field events
    Soccer (football)
American Football / Rugby / Ultimate Frisbee
    Swim Racing
    Water Polo
    Roller-Speed skating / Roller Derby
Skiing / Ski- jumping / cross
    Boarding (snow) racing / cross
    Field Hockey
    Volleyball

*I'd consider gymnastics as a sport if there was a way to win other than some judge's decision. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I may have missed a few, but activities where the human isn't doing anything physical (horse or car) aren't sports. Fake events (WWE, MMA claims to be real) are entertainment. Activities judged by someone else (some forms of martial arts, Synchronized swimming, dance) can't ever be considered 'real' sports.
If I were to move something off my list of activities, it would be polo (hockey-on-horse), Baseball(arguably some skill needed), & Ski/Board cross.

The only difference between the WNBA and the NBA are the athletes that play it. One has a league only for male athletes, and the other one is for women only. They still play the same sport.

Pretty sure the WWE is not considered a sport, rather a entertainment business. Everything is pre-determined already, and they are basically all actors.

And I'd have to disagree with you on baseball.
