Not to shabby for being in the US. It's def not UK speeds but its nice to see that the US is slowly starting to offer speeds this high now.
It really isn't that bad for around 50 bucks a month :P I still remember when I used Prodigy and AOL for a dial up provider. ughhhhhh

How come your download is three times better than it should be? :P

Anyway, can't wait for telia to enable their 1000 Mb for 150$ a month.

Ye it is , our university in the leading in finland when it comes to technology, and we've developt a lot of computer shit here,so alot of companies want to Research with us on new stuff, this leads to them setting up shop close by, So our internet provider Funet gave us Gigabit and i'll tell you it's FUN AS HELL to have gigabit

FIOS is... well awesome. It seems to be very hit or miss though, I know a lot of people (even those in the same service area) that can't keep a connection and can't reach the bandwidth they paid for... I've personally never been without internet for more than 10 seconds total since getting this service, aside from when a semi tractor trailer went by outside and ripped down my fiber optic line... which was promptly repaired the next business day by verizon =-D

Apparently overheating routers (and you have to use the one they provide) are the biggest issue with the company, mine is kept in a room that doesn't get any sun on the side of the house its on, and is in a well ventilated area. Though every 3-4 weeks I tend to need to do a reset on the modem by leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes and then turning it all back on. The internet will slow to a crawl, and most things won't even respond anymore. Not sure exactly why, I'm sure its just some sort of flaw with the routers memory or w/e.
