It has been said in 2 previous posts, but somewhat hidden between other text.. The key to solving aggro problems is to talent ur frostfire orb, and cast it at onyxia a few seconds after the start of the fight. Will be a big help, much more aggro because you will have many procs (icelance and frostfire bolt), so you dont need to use ur frost nova and freeze until the 4th add or so, then you can use those to get them together before ring of frost, or to keep distance between you and adds.
P1 isn't a huge DPS race so there really isn't a need to leave you all by yourself out there with the adds.
If you have anyone with a taunt or hunter/rogue for MD/tricks it makes it really easy. In our case we have a dps dk and mage work together to kite them and get them grouped up. Mage is more about slowing them and using Ring of Frost to lock them in place when they are about to drop.
It took our group 94 wipes to finally get it down. We just needed that much practice on each of the phases to finally get it. Now I'm pretty sure we'll get it within a half dozen pulls every week.
