G'day,

Who is everyones pick for the CWC this year?

My favouritism tag is on South Africa, though obviously am hoping for an Australian victory.

Though this tournament is alot closer than the past 3 tournaments (especially 03 and 07 where australia went undefeated throughout) and any of the top 5/6 teams can win it on their day. Just need to be on the money.

So who are keeping their eyes on this tournament?

Had live updates running all day yesterday for England vs Holland, which we won by the skin of our teeth. Not a huge cricket fan but it's quite easy to get into it when it's the Ashes or the CWC.

India vs England was an incredible game, first India set a huge total, then England started chasing it well, and at one point looked to have it in the bag, then India got a bunch of wickets and had the game all but won, then the England tail-enders slogged out, it all came down to the last delivery.

Net result: A TIE!

More games like that please (but let England win a few of them too.)

This game was in my home town, it was a blast at the stadium. A nail biting last few overs, too bad it was a tie !

OT: India is my favourite, team looks pretty strong this time.

i watched the new zealand v pakistan game on tv yesterday, the last 5 overs of NZ`s innings was quite unbelievable & im sure one over went for 30 runs lol depending on what type of team shows up on the day (ireland & south africa a great example), then i would say england for the world cup. but ive always had a soft spot for sri lanka, so they would be my 2nd choice

team looks pretty strong this time.

Except they have a tendency to slow down and lose quick top order wickets once they feel any sort of pressure batting second. I hope that doesn't carry over in this world cup.

Another thriller of a game! It once again involves England.

Bangladesh played out of their skins and showed some great grit to pull off a 2 wicket win.

Shaping up so far to be such a good world cup, only Australia and India are undefeated currently.

Australia have kenya on sunday and I can't see an upset happening there, we are just too strong in really big ODI matches (undefeated since 99' in world cup matches)
