    The Seven Princes of Hell

Hey guys, i just got done with watching ''The Rite''. And I learned about the fact that the Demon Baat is one of the seven princes of hell.

These are the seven princes of damnation:

    # Lucifer - Pride
    # Mammon - Avarice
    # Asmodeus - Lust
    # Satan - Anger
    # Beelzebub (also called Baal (demon)) - Gluttony
    # Leviathan - Envy
    # Belphegor - Vanity and Sloth

Thus, i do not believe in the demonic powers that are sayd to slumber over the earth, nor do i believe in Christ/God.

Whats your thoughts about these princes? You think hell exists? nor heaven?

Nope, Satan is the most known person, also counted to be ''The Devil'' usually. But as you can see, there are not only one dominator of hell. Take for example, Asmodeus. He is the bringer of lust, for example, sexual lust. If people gets taken by him, they are sent to the second stage of Hell.

I love to read about things like this. Kinda like a tale

I'm generally not into anything regarding God, gods, goddesses, or any god-like creatures. But this all Princes of Damnation stuff sounds interesting. They sound more like principles than anything.

    # Belphegor - Vanity and Sloth

Odd that Belphegor is Vanity and Sloth... cause those are two different Deadly sins... and Vanity is already taken care of under Pride.

I also Love Hell Fiction it's very interesting. I'm Agnostic myself but i love the lore behind it. Since heaven seems boring in literature since you know what your getting with it, but the mind always wonders what hell is going to be like.

    Lucifer: Pride (superbia)
    Mammon: Greed (avaritia)
    Asmodeus: Lust (luxuria)
    Leviathan: Envy (invidia)
    Beelzebub: Gluttony (gula or gullia)
    Satan/Amon: Wrath (ira)
    Belphegor: Sloth (acedia)

Belphegor is not vanity. Vainglory was combined with pride when it was changed by pope gregory into the seven deadly sins, from the 8 deadly temptations. The demons werent added until about 1000 years later in 1589.

    Chastity
    Temperance
    Humility
    Charity
    Diligence
    Kindness
    Patience
Those are the virtues that counteract the vices. Cause facts are fun.

Also note that at times satan and lucifer are different entities. Hence why Amon is also the demon of wrath. Though most of the time Satan was the name given to Lucifer after he was cast from heaven, satan meaning adversaryin hebrew(as he became the "anti-god").

As you state there, it's slightly skew. Mainly because there is always an ongoing debate about Lucifer/Satan.

What we perceive as hell, is very different to way, say, Christianity perceives as hell.

If I'm not mistaken, there are some mild references that Lucifer was the name of the angel, and once fallen, he was called by a different name, but not directly. Lucifer in a lot of modern cases is also referred to as the devil, but then so is satan. Mammon is allegedly his 'son'.

But then again, there is so much info circulating around that it's hard to ever put a pointer onto what is true and what isn't (Im talking in terms of namesake here, not whether hell actually exists, of course).

Alot of nice and valid arguments here. I've always wanted to see an exorcism in real life. Maybe if i do that in my life.. Maybe ill see that the person that says he/she is possessd is actually possesed? the thing that would convince me, is probably if the human were speaking with a demonic voice (Speaking in demonic tounge, saying that the demon raises from somewhere, im not sure), having un natural human-movements and such. For example, in The Rite. The first thing they check for, is if, say you got a pen in a black bag. The possesed person finds out that it is a pen inside, without checking inside the bag.
