    I hate feminists
They're (short for They are) describes a group of people. "They're/They are a nice bunch of guys." Their indicates that something belongs/is related to a group of people. "Their car was all out of fuel." There refers to a location. "Let's set up camp over there." There is also no such thing as "could/should OF". The correct way is: Could/should'VE, or could/should HAVE.

You do know the reason why women get (or should I say got) cheaper car insurance, is because on the whole they are statistically safer drivers than males which insurance is based on. Men are more likely to have an accident, so logically their insurance should be higher. Women are less likely to have an accident, so logically their insurance should be lower. It's like saying 'I'm 21 and 30 year old new drivers get cheaper insurance than me! It's ageism!'. Nope, you are just statistically more likely to crash than the 30 year old.

On topic, those feminists give real feminists a bad name.

Sigh it's just a game...i highly doubt we'll see an entire generation of children grow up acting like Duke (although that would be hilarious). The games rated M for mature..so unless parents buy it for the kids theres no "corruption" gunna happen and adults buying it are mature and sensible enough to realise it's a game. Some people in this world just like to overreact to anything.

Becuase of one parent that bitched to the OFLC, they said they would take it under advisement, 2 weeks later some kid pulls a recreatment on one of his friends with the bag choke and beats the shit out of him, Manhunt was pulled from all video game shelfs within a week. OFLC issued a ban of allowing it inside Australia.

Best chance of finding is on the black market or getting lucky on ebay!

some "good" parenting, depending on your definition, can easily shelter kids from the "atrocities" of the digital world. too bad PCs and video games are the new baby sitters. Find it offensive? good. its meant to be. dont play it then. forget it exists. The anti porn crusades have failed, and so will the anti violent / sexual video game crusades.

As a female (this is going to sound terrible), I don't care so much about the slapping of women as I do about the excessive nudity for no reason and using that as a selling point (because we all know it is). I've been playing games since point n clicks were all the rage and I just don't find this classy. Then again, I don't shoot people up in CoD either.

As to the feminism crap: If you're a female and don't wanna get smacked, then don't let yourself get smacked.

Gentlemen, any time that you find a comic on Penny Arcade that supports your argument, you basically need to reformulate your argument.

It's like claiming it's ok to lick your own butt clean because you saw your dog do it this morning.

    Internalized misogyny is sad.

Soooooo... Care to refute the argument in the comic then? Or are you just content to call people stupid for agreeing with it?

Doesn't this rest on a presupposition that those objecting to sexism don't also object to cultural glorification of violence? Because that's an assumption that I don't think stands up to real scrutiny.

In my opinion, it seems pretty flawed to judge an argument's worth based on whether or not it's in a Penny Arcade comic one way or another.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that any time you find yourself doing that, you need to come up with a real argument before telling someone to reformulate theirs.

One of my earliest memories of my Dad and me doing something together when i was a kid was him putting money between the stripper's tits in one of the original Nukems. I sure as hell didn't turn out to be a sexual deviant, I live and die by the line "Saint in the street, sinner in the bedroom" anyways so :P.

May I direct you to my post just a bit upthread? Violence and sexism are qualitatively different problems within our culture. Equivocating fails to meaningfully address either, and is therefore dismissive of both. It's a disingenuous treatment of the issues.

EDIT: Further, as raised in the comic, "what about the violence?" isn't advocating that we should examine the cultural role and effects of violent media. It's an attempt to stifle discussion of a cultural issue that isn't violence. It doesn't say, "shouldn't we examine violence as well?" It says, "we shouldn't talk about sexism because we aren't talking about violence."
