Launcher Cannot Obtain Patching Information.

Whenever I try to start WoW Launcher, I get the error message " Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your internet configuration. " I have tried disabling firewall, my antivirus, but nothing works. The strange thing is, when I googled it, most people said it was because it was patch day, even though today is not. Could someone please help me?

can you ping this address? us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com if not, and you internet works, its still something blocking it. disabling a firewall isnt always the answer. leave it on, but unblock anything to do with wow. If you can ping that, then run the wow restore tool. back up your wtf folder and your addon folder first.

I tried the repair tool and it says that WoW has been repaired, but the same thing still happens. I also backed up my addon and WTF folders.

Have you actually restarted your computer? Sometimes that helps a lot.

still didnt answer the first part. are you able to ping the server? that only matters if you are in the us. I dont know what the EU one is.

Happened to me before, turns out peerblock/peerguardian was blocking the ip

I would suggest going to your Wow Directory, looking in Data, then enUS (I guess that's the American version) then realmlist.wtf and make sure it says:
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

Although if you've ran repair it should've done that anyway. :/

happens to me when my router isnt hooked up correctly, but ur online to post that...so its probably a diff problem

I also backed up my addon and WTF folders.

See what happens with empty addon's and wtf folders-

Try opening your wow folder and starting the program from the WoW file, NOT the launcher and log in. This usually let's me dl a patch that isn't coming through the launcher for whatever reason.

If you cant ping the server, something is blocking it. Check your firewalls/windows firewall etc and make sure it hasnt excluded it. Closing them off will not always fully stop their blocks etc.

Also try opening it from the WoW folder in case something has happened to your shortcut.

Virus/Malware scan should definitely be done now.

When I try to launch WoW directly from the folder, without using the launcher, i get the following message:
