Who would win in a fight and why?

IMO, Altair would destroy Ezio. The assassins following Altair basically worshiped him and even though he couldn't swim i think he would be more than a match for pretty boy Ezio.

Definitely Ezio. The guy is an Assassin prodigy. He has a ton of natural talent. I believe he would upset Altair and cut his throat.

Probably Ezio since he has way better technology than Altaïr.

Though I think this is really hard to say, the way assassinating works in the games doesn't mean it is a big epic battle. It is preferred to silently kill someone while no one else notices it. I think both of them would be able to assassinate each other if done properly.

Yup, Assassins creed 2 says he was born in 1459. The last scene in Brotherhood takes place in 1507. So 48 by the end of Brotherhood.

Altair defeated someone wielding a Piece of Eden without any help from a similar artifact, Ezio would have gotten his ass handed to him by the pope in AC2 if he was not holding an artifact of his own... Altair is better.

i voted ezio and thought for this same reason. its hard to judge an assassin fight tho simply because assassins arent really supposed to "fight" it can really be either of the two tho, theyre both very skilled :P

Ezio wins in a close fight. It's not just a matter of better weapons / armor. Ezio is a born fighter versus being soley an assassin. The only hope Altair would have would be a sneak attack. Heads up, Ezio is the better fighter.

And Ezio was much better with the ladies.
