Soft haste cap is 10%(12.5% for affliction's BoA having 2 more ticks) hard cap is 30% (which we cant get this tier)


After taking a look at OP's Armory , ignore items with mastery stat on it and if u cant reforge that into hit>haste>crit

Try to get 12.5% haste if u can and thats it

WHAT?! Please don't make assumptions and assume they are correct...
Your soft cap is way off, seing Affli uses BoD as their Bane (single target). And while there technically IS Haste Tresholds for affliction you never talk about them. Why? Well because there is NO WAY Crit/mastery will overtake haste in value for Affliction.. And further, reaching a haste treshhold as affliction does increase the DPET of that spell. However not enough to sacrifice Int to obtain them, and after reashing those caps, stack more Haste.
In this tier: Aim for 30% haste. And after that, more haste.

I would like to have Soulburn + Haunt: On hit Haunt will stack SE x3 on the target.

there are so many good ideas for useful soulburn effects (including this one) yet we're stuck with casting drain life 2x as fast? instant soulfire? searing pain crits....really? I feel like they didn't do anywhere near as good of a job as they should have with this.

they should have at least made DL have twice as many ticks over 2x cast speed IMO.

Since i sat down to my computer now and i become pretty bored i made a short gearlist of total of the gear that is pretty easy obtainable.. I would like to see what people thought of it for affliction. Since i want the best Pre-Raid gear for it i want some advices if i can change some stuff in it since i really love playing affliction.
Some of the items may be wierd but i didnt find any better ones since some slots there isnt many haste items so i guess i need to reforge then instead. Like for an example Wrists.

These blast points are too accurate for mages. Only Imperial Warlocks are so precise.

I forgot to link the chest but i do use the ramkahen one since even if i need to stack haste i still need to hit the 17% hitcap and sadly then i need alot of hit and when there isnt any haste/hit robe that is easy obtainable i took the crit/hit one from ramkahen. Since i am trying to gear towards raids asap.

I have done quite alot of heroics this weekend and gatherd some new gear. I am farming ramkahen now for the feets.
Tho i dont know if i shall use the head i have atm or try to get the hit/mastery from Halls of origination and reforge the mastery to haste. Since as i said. I need quite alot of hit.
And since i need some crit aswell. How much crit should be doable in this type of gear that i got since i know dots is quite alot of my dmg.. I still cast shadowbolt and i want to crit with that

In full up raid gear 16% is a good number to shoot for. However hitting it shouldnt influence your decisions, crit happens on gear.

Focus on pieces with Hit and Haste for now. Dont really worth about the other ratings beyond what you can reforce for Hit 'n Haste.
