Hey all, so my guild decided to make a big push of BWD heroic bosses in the past couple weeks but somehow we just can't down H Chim 10 and am looking to see if anyone has suggestions on what to do - I've read the other posts on this boss and it seems we're following the general consensus for the strat, but things keep getting FUBARed..
Our comp (and others on standby):
Warrior - Prot/Fury - as prot, specced into the 30% shield wall for other tanks)
DK - Blood/Frost/Unholy - UH has the AM zone
Druid - Bear/Kitty
Druid - Resto
Pally - Ret
Pally - Holy
Pally - Prot
Priest - Holy/Shadow
Priest - Disc/Shadow
Shaman - Resto/Enh
Hunter/Rogue/Lock - Plenty of these classes
So the strat that we've been running that seems to work the best is have the ret pally main tank Chim and have Tank #2 soak double strikes. During feud phases, Tank #3 taunts, stays away from the stack, and eats the entire feud + double strike with cds. At the start of the first feud, this tank normally gets the warrior's 30% shield wall (done before massacre hits so his threat is still fine), + pops a minor tank cd + guardian spirit = to make sure he doesn't die while healers are topping the raid and himself. He pops a major CD for double strikes and all is well. The second feud, Tank#3 taunts, gets the holy pally's sac, another warrior shield wall, and eats the double strike with a major CD. Third feud Tank#2's cds are back up and he takes it again. The major problem we're having is we always manage to lose somebody during feud and we have the max amount of healing out (during feud the ret pally divine storms, we have shadow priest replenish healing, if shaman is dpsing he's healing raining). We try to make it so that the DK tank has a fair amount of blood shield stacked up before he taunts in feud but he still dies sometimes (and none of our healers are bad). We argue back and forth with him that stacking stam is terrible compared to the avoidance and mastery stats he could be going for instead. Any ideas on that?
We've also tried to 4 heal gimp it which results in 4 feud phases and a wipe at ~4M due to not enough dps in the last phase before mocking shadows kills us (with good amounts of HP on the entire raid at transition).
I can also post some World of logs if people want to see what's going on numberwise later on.
