    MM arena build (4.0.6)

    hi guys,

    I've seen many MM arena builds around recently and not sure which one to pick for 3v3

    0/31/10 - arenajunkies basic build
    3/31/7 - 2/2 Survival Tactics (many players prefer ST over Entrapment - why?)
    3/31/7 - 2/2 Entrapment
    3/31/7 - Rapid Killing 2/2
    3/31/7 - Termination 2/2

    combinations of One with Nature 1/3-2/3 and all above..

    which are the best 3v3 combos these days other than KFC? oh, and i'm PvP beginner

    no offense but why posting this? I saw that guide (and not sure if it's up to date) but I also saw many different builds among top arena hunters, thats the reason I'm asking..

    i'm not sure if the guide is updated to 4.0.6, because as i mentioned above there are many hunters among top teams with quite different builds..

    I would suggest staying away from entrapment, in 2s running against double dps, either they're going to be casters and entrapment won't do anything, or one of them will be a warrior in which case you definitely don't want Second Wind proc'ing on them. In 3s, there's a decently good chance they'll be casters, in which case entrapment won't do anything, or one of them will be a warrior in which case you definitely don't want second wind proc'ing on them.

    What I'm trying to say is that entrapment really only helps against rogues and enhance shammies.

    thanks and what about One with Nature? I understand that for kiting role it's not that worthy but MM has also very nice burst and OwN may help

    http://wowtal.com/#k=bvUAHzWO.ala.hunter. is what I've been using, 2/2 Rapid killing for rateds, 3/3 OwN, and 2/2 Spirit Mend (10% extra healing), entrapment really isn't needed, as I generally only trap the healer, ice trap is only occasionally used against cleave teams.

    This is true, although I am running with the Entrapment spec at the moment, I am finding it pretty useless compared to the self healing which Spirit Bond provides so I'm going to switch.

    Funnily, just this last two weeks, I've abandoned entrapment and taken up Spirit Bond myself too. It makes 2v2 arenas a lot more manageable as a hunter. In 3v3 I see no reason for a hunter to ever use AoE traps either, so if I start taking 3v3 seriously at some point, I'd probably leave entrapment out, but take 3/3 OwN and Survival Tactics. Even in BGs, I'm really not bothered about entrapment.

    so you are not using ice/snake traps when kiting? or concuss, scatter and freezing trap is enough?

    In arena, you will always use Frost trap on an enemy healer, rather than using an Ice trap (unless it's TSG), and snake trap has the nasty tendency to break our CC. Concussive shot coupled with the spider web (not always available) Master's call, Disengage, Wing Clip, and the Raptor Strike glyph are generally enough.
