God damn didn't think I'd see them pump 4 through on Hank.
Bruins and Pens have a really easy path to the Eastern Conf Finals now...the interesting question will be who will emerge victorious once we get there.
In the west however, as a completely unbiased observer I am loving the SJ v LA series. I hope that one goes seven. That is just two great teams hammering away at each other and it is fun to watch.
Make that 5 past Lundqvist
also saw this while searching for possible free agents.

Flames need a good faceoff center, I wonder if we'll end up signing him if he doesn't resign with Toronto and the price is right. We have cap room and it would be great for Monohan / Lindholm to learn faceoffs from him. I'm a bit weary to get hopeful eyes since the last time we got Leaf players they kinda dropped the ball in Calgary colours.

yeah im shocked at the fact that the bruins have won the first two against NY.
These guys are fucking idiots, they don't have a shred of credibility and are talking out their asses. I think the Leafs are more likely to buyout Grabovski with the compliance buyout option, give Bozak an extension and go after Clarkson during free agency. Bozak is easily a 4 million dollar a year centre, and he has come out of nowhere to be an effective faceoff specialist for our team. Anyone who thinks a guy like Colborne who has only played a handful of NHL games in his professional career and looked rather shit while doing so, is snorting coke off Gary Bettman's butt cheeks.
The reasoning for buying out Grabovski is that he has a 5 million dollar a year contract for another 3 or 4 years yet, while he is realistically a 3 million dollar centre who is better in the 2nd line role then as a checker like he has been this year, he just got outplayed for the position by younger players. I think teams are more likely to take a chance on Grabovski as a free agent where they can pay him whatever he will take then they are Bozak if they are looking for a goal scoring and play making centre with a fair amount of speed for their 2nd line. Clarkson is an upgrade on the 1st line over Bozak, but I'd get rid of Grabovski before I got rid of Bozak.

Probably because the reality is that no matter how hard they try, the Rangers are a worse team then they were last season, and the season before that. They traded away their grit and shut down game for goal scoring and it has shown just how old and how average Lundqvist is as a goalie.
You go from 1st in the conference one year to barely making it in the next, Lundqvist has been terrible a lot this year if you guys managed to slip so far without any roster changes. Injuries aside, I still say the Rangers were a vastly better team defensively 2 years ago and have looked very average over the course of this season.
Sens better have to remove Karlson from the line-up hes awful. Hes simply not ready to play.
It didn't help that for most of the season, a guy who scored more than 40 goals last year was incredibly unproductive before being traded. Rangers lacked the offense to keep themselves in close, low scoring games. I just don't get off how you call Lundqvist "average" when for goalies who started 30+ games, he was 4th in GAA and SV%. He sees so many shots.
