Yikes, Voynov wife beating details
So, little surprising:
Source: http://www.tsn.ca/oilers-fire-head-c...-role-1.160396"There's blood all over my hands in this too as well because I put the lineup together and the roster," MacTavish told a news conference at the Oilers' downtown offices.
"But it's just the compounding of the losses that led me to this decision."
MacTavish will take over as head coach on a transitional basis before handing the reins to Todd Nelson, who is being promoted to interim head coach from Edmonton's American Hockey League affiliate in Oklahoma City.
MacTavish said he didn't have a timeline on when he would return to the front office.
And:
Source: see link above.MacTavish more than a week ago, also said there was no point to breaking up the core talent of the team, saying there were so few tradeable assets, any trade would be a simultaneous step forward and backward
On Monday, when he was asked again if he would touch the core, he didn't rule it out.
"I don't want to answer that question until I get a hands-on understanding of exactly what's happening in there (the dressing room)," said MacTavish.
That probably means some trades are coming.
It will be interesting to see if Hall, Eberle or Hopkins stay in Edmonton or if we will see them play for another team in the near future.
Thoughts?

theres reports that theyre shopping hall who was labeled as "uncoachable". Take that for what you will but I imagine theyd be asking for an arm and or a leg for Hall because of his talent level and contact.
Eberle to St. Louis has been rumored pretty much all season... That should be the first domino
Kings are playing pretty shitty considering they're practically the only ones not getting the mumps.
Zemgus Girgensons is #1 in all star voting... Those Latvians going hard? He has more than double the votes than any other player in the league

Not as bad as Ottawa trying to get their entire team into the all star game a few years ago though.
The only time I would want to go to the all star game as a player is if I was in the final year of my contract, so I could go do some under the table talking.
So Kings lit up Marty for 6 last night, including a goal from the red line.
