Well I guess after going 15-0-1we were due for a stinker.
Seems like you don't match up well against us, 4 losses in a row to us, I believe they said.

I don't see it, you guys are like Vancouver in being the anti-oilers. Im feeling like we will se Dahlin go to Edmonton (lol) or Arizona.
The Hockey world will collectively vomit if Edmonton wins the lottery. It's management is so bad at building a team. The only players they have in the NHL they've drafted are Nuge, McJesus, Nurse and Klefbom. And I am not really sure about the last one. If you get traded out of Edmonton. Expect a healthy career afterwards. Petry, Hall and Eberle.
The most messed up part is they could get number one and still ruin those kids careers.
Dude, no offense but the refs were handing you guys that game on a silver platter. The amount of god awful penalties that we're given to the Leafs when they were clearly Nashville penalties or dubious calls at best, was atrocious. When even the TV and radio guys are calling the refs out, you know you are doing a shitty job. 5 power plays in a row that you couldn't capitalize on.
Really? You won 5-2 and are still going to bitch about the Refs? What is this the HF board? I don't know why we bother complaining about it, everyone knows the Refs blow, it's just a matter of which side of it you are on each night.
Our PP has been bad for a while. The guys have stopped doing anything but moving it high for one timers so it's easy to defend. We are more dangerous on the PK than the PP. At one point during that streak we had more shorties than PP goals ( 5 vs 4 ).
In all honesty we would be better off right now of they didn't give us the PP's, we are far better at even strength.

Speed teams gives us fits unless we are in full effort mode, which we really weren't last night. We also tend to play like garbage after being off several days in a row so that didn't help.
This team has also gotten a bit lazy I think. We were able to win some games against some pretty mediocre to bad teams by playing hard for about 15 minutes. Really once we clinched the playoff spot the effort level really went down hill.

Our D is bad enough that it doesn't take much to score on us when down a man, which was kind of why that game could easily have been 3-1 for the Preds after two periods. Freddie was ok but yeah, your power play was extremely impotent against a pretty joke team defensively. My problem with some of the officiating is that it could really have turned that game against us unnecessarily, because at least two of the penalties against us should really have gone to your team.
The NHL doesn't have the worst reffing. That belongs to the NBA. Although the MLB Umps are pretty close considering the divas they've become. Goading players into trying to touch them.
The Preds will likely have a couple more lackluster games in the upcoming weeks. Just because they are locked into first and the Jets won't challenge them for first.
If they win? They're gonna win hahaha

Concussion I believe. He's been unbelievable in his first 2 seasons. Already playing the game defensively at a very high level and really turning into a nice offensive piece. 49 pts before going down is pretty solid for such a good 2 way guy. Can't wait to see him get even better next year, he's like the Sam Bennett we were supposed to get out of Sam Bennett lol
Hopefully he's ok, those can be rough to come back from sometimes. I think Jarnkrok was on pace to break 40 and considering the amount of PK time he took that was pretty good. We've heard he broke his collar bone which would put him out til the WCF if true, but on the plus side his significant other ( I'm not entirely sure on their status ) just had a baby girl so at least the time off comes at a good time.
The Jets couldn't out it past a beer league goalie. Tonight was full mail it in mode.
Probably the only time I've rooted for Chicago. Put his name in the rafters imo. Oh and thanks for helping us get real close too wrapping up our first division crown.
Tolvanen is here, not sure when he will play but won't surprise me if it's at home against Buffalo Saturday.
The Sedins are officially retiring at the end of this season. I feel kind of empty inside - I know it's the best thing for the team and moving forward is exciting with our young new core group of players, but seeing the best franchise players we've had hang their jerseys up is pretty sad.
If Hank pins the C on Horvat's chest at the season-ender I'll probably lose my shit.
