    NBA Playoffs, Who Ya Got?!

Playoff match-ups are now set, so who ya got to win the rounds and the championship?

Here's my round by round prediction

And a TLDR: Chicago Bulls beat the Spurs in the finals

    Round 1:

    East:
    (1) Chicago Bulls - 4
    (8) Indiana Pacers - 0

    (2) Miami Heat - 4
    (7) Philadelphia 76ers - 1

    (3) Boston Celtics - 3
    (6) New York Knicks -4 (New York Bias much?)

    (4) Orlando Magic - 4
    (5) Atlanta Hawks - 2

    West
    (1) San Antonio Spurs - 4
    (8) Memphis Grizzles - 1

    (2) Los Angeles Lakers- 4
    (7) New Orleans Hornets - 1

    (3) Dallas Mavericks - 4 (maybe this is the year they advance to the next round)
    (6) Portland Trail - 3

    (4) Oklahoma City Thunder - 4
    (5) Denver Nuggets - 2

    Round 2:

    (1) Chicago Bulls- 4
    (4) Orlando Magic - 2

    (2) Miami Heat - 2
    (6) New York Knicks - 4 (It is a very bad and weird gut feeling... even though right now I'm thinking they won't even beat the Celts)

    (1) San Antonio Spurs - 4
    (4) Oklahoma City Thunder - 1

    (2) Los Angeles Lakers - 4
    (3) Dallas Mavericks - 0

    Semi Finals

    (1) Chicago Bulls- 4
    (6) New York Knicks - 1 (lol semi finals, what am I smoking)

    (1) San Antonio Spurs - 4
    (2) Los Angeles Lakers - 2

    Finals
    Chicago Bulls - 4
    San Antonio Spurs - 2

I got the Heat in 7 beating out the Spurs. The Celtics lost have no confidence/swagger going into the playoffs and neither do the Lakers. Of course it's way different once the games begin but I just don't see a 3peat for L.A. Getting rid of Kendrick Perkins was also the dumbest thing the Celtics have done all season. I feel like the Bulls are a regular season winner much like the Mavericks and the Suns were for a while. The Spurs are old but they're clutch every year and the Heat have too much fire power in the brittle east for anyone to stop them. The only team that has a chance is the Bulls but like I said I think they're a regular season team.

Here we go Detroit Wings baby. On the basketball topic..whoever the hell gets out of the east gets swept by the lakers or the thunder.
The bulls are more one dimensional than any finals team except the 05 cavs. the heat just dont have it together yet, the celtics are old(say that every year but every year they make it to the finals), obviously not orlando, atlanta, philadelphia, or indiana, new york is the question mark but they are a not as good version of the heat.
Strike while the irony is hot!

I didn't know that, I've been really busy and was only able to follow baseball >.<.

I still don't know about the Lakers though, last time I checked they were struggling. But they are clutch in the playoffs, no doubt about it.

don't think there would be that many sweeps in the first round this season, looking forward to long drawn out series in the playoff this season

NYK got punk'd by the refs in the dying 22 seconds. That said, WHY OH WHY would Melo shoot 2 threes when STAT had the hot hand?

D'antoni is gonna have to reel his ass in if they want any hope of winning the series.

Also, already loving the tight games and upsets.

Melo used 4 of NY's last 7 possessions on 2 turnovers, one horrible shot and one decent look he clanged. Should've given it to Stoudemire and gotten out of the way. Those two plays Doc drew up were beautiful though.

Obviously not entirely fair as game 1's are done:

    Bulls-Pacers: Bulls in 4
    Hawks-Magic: Magic in 5
    Celtics-Knicks: Knicks in 7
    Heat-76ers: Heat in 4

    Bulls-Magic: Bulls in 5, maybe 4
    Knicks-Heat: Heat in 5

    Bulls-Heat: Heat in 7

    Spurs-Grizz: Spurs in 5
    OKC-Nuggets: OKC in 5
    Dallas-Portland: Dallas in 6
    Lakers-Hornets: Lakers in 5

    Spurs-OKC: OKC in 6
    Dallas-Lankers: Lakers in 5

Lakers-OKC: This is where I am at a loss. I really think OKC has what it takes to win this series. OKC in 7.

    OKC-Heat: OKC in 7
    or
    Lakers-Heat: Lakers in 6

The Celtics Knicks game was disappointing - I want the Knicks to win that series.
I remember it all too well

I honestly believe the Heat would have more trouble with the Bulls than the Lakers. If the Heat manage to beat Bulls in 7, I think they could take the Lakers in 6 or 7. Kobe is insane in the playoffs, but they are weakest against athletic guards (Chris Paul baby!), and their inside presence can be somewhat nullified with good help defence.

Also, it's hard seeing the Spurs come out with a great season, and then likely fail in the post-season because Manu's injured. They definitely needed him yesteday.

Well I guess I could look it up but you guys still didn't answer my question and the last I heard he was with the Celtics too. I know the Lakers are still good and so are the Celtics and much is expected of the Heat of course... and I guess the Spurs are still good and the Mavs are doing their usual regular season tease. The big trade for Carmelo to the Knicks sort of fizzled out after a nice start .. apparently because nobody on that team plays defense. I know that because Charles Barkley said so on David Letterman. I'll tell you how out of touch I am... some guy is being touted as the leading candidate for MVP.

Ohh yea, that ref did that probably because he didn't wanna get a huge 'BOOOOOOO' by the home crowd.

But yea, when Melo went for the 3 I was like 'WTF ARE YOU DOING!?!?!?'. If he got that shot off like .5 seconds earlier they would have time to shoot another shot up after the rebound.... but oh well :\.
