    Also do not forget the impact of people like Derrick May, Juan Atkins & Kevin Saunderson...the actual founders of techno in late eighties. examples are: Derrick May - Strings of life (the birth of techno?) and Inner City - Big Fun.

    What daft punk did is pulling techno/house out of its occulte/underground state and make it accessible to the mass.

    had the same discussion about cassius too -

    We saw Cassius and Josh wink a fair few years back (cassius upstairs playing truly amazing house, josh wink on the barely acid techno) and was one of the best nights I've had.

    Cassius played its more fun to compute too, which is so good on a crisp system

    Yeah, I really like them too. First album was out of this world and one of my favorite. The other while pretty good, are less exciting.
