it just started.. havent opened GW2 since that big 5 gig update.. updated like a champ. opened it after the 5 GB was done.. worked fine. now suddenly this?

phew.. restarted her comp.. it's now downloading around 1300-1400 files perhaps it needed a restart? i dunno i hope it works.

yessssss... it downloaded all the files i pressed play came up like normal, exited it. reopened gw2.exe came up with the 100% and play button im good now.

I'm happy for you! Had crash after crash yesterday too, a few hours later I tried again and suddenly it worked again. Perhaps they want to pump us full of adrenaline before the weekend, I don't know

Yah they had a pretty serious bug yesterday in the updating process. For most people it was automatically resolved over time, but some people had their files corrupted. For those who run into issues there is only one proper solution, redownload the whole lot. Toss what you got, and redownload everything.

Tacos tonight right before the BWE starts. Then it's more-or-less non-stop computer action for the entire weekend.

Also, looks like I'll be getting the Razer Nostromo two hours before the BWE starts. Let the awkward getting-used-to-new-peripheral movement begin!

Guardian has plenty of offensive options

I had a GW2 dream the other night. It was about Guardian Spirit weapons. I woke up and thought, crap bow of truth summon requires you to stop moving to cast it. I should fix that. I did, but its not in this BWE

Yes. Guardian hammer skill 3 is a line immobilize now. Death Blossom is an evasive attack now. Numerous others...

Q:How come Guardians are the only Profession that are limited in range abilities? Everyone else has true-ranged skills, but Guardians have skills that can't go up inclines/ledges (they don't travel through the air, but on the ground)!
A:I actually updated those skills since the last BWE. Give scpeter a try I tried to make this the ranged option, particularly in WvW for Guardian.Jon P

Only undefeated server in the US. Very important distinction.

In the EU, Augury Rock, Fort Ranik, and Desolation (MMOCEU server) were undefeated.

My nostromo just arrived. Thought I'd give it a spin to contrast it with the G13...I like the G13 but the stick is less than ideal for me. Compared to the nostromo the G13 is a lot heavier too.
