So I just finished Edge of Destiny (after reading Ghosts of Ascalon and loving it). I'm a Human player, I always will be, but what the fuck Logan, seriously.

He reminded me of having a 12 year old MT in BC. Get to Vashj phase 3 for the first time, wipe, but you have a solid strat and are totally going to nail it. "MOM, I KNOW I HAVE SCHOOL IN THE MORNING. NO MOM LET ME FI--... sorry guys I have to go".

Coming from Logan? I wanted to strangle him. Completely. Can that be an option in my character story? Strangling Logan? Because I'll beat any Charr to that, any day of the week.

Killing an Elder Dragon was a lot less important than persevering as entire species in the immediate.

Killing an Elder dragon would have saved the entire species. Not to mention, he couldn't care less about saving his species, only that "my queen is safe!"

Not really, no. Humanity wold not survive an all out war with Charr. They are/were hanging by a thread. The key is immediacy. The Elder Ds are elemental, eventual outcomes. Politics are not.

His answer was not because of politics or war with the Charr. His answer was "My Queen needs me". Because they're under attack from crystal-kin.

He then spent his time fighting crystal-kin and not even seeing his queen until after Kralky's already lifted off from Destiny's Edge failing. Good job on priorities there, Logan. Good fucking job.

Nobility can be replaced, an elder dragon can not.

I received a day one ORAS demo code. I am a chosen one.

Well, she kinda did need him. He's bound to her...

Lol. This discussion again.
Logan's a Jerk. Period.
No consideration, no agonizing moment of making an impossible choice, no thought process whatsoever.
The only rational explanation is that it was a form of compulsion by the queen. Except it's been confirmed it wasn't. So there's no rational explanation.
Except that. Logan = Jerk.

Snaff :-(

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. But, Ill ask that someone bring some dirt , Ill make it rain. Go!

Ok, jokes aside (bad ones at that :O)

How much knowledge do I need to read the gw books? I find that most of the lore is too scattered (even wiki-wise) to really get into it.

How much knowledge to do you need to read them?
Ummmmm........a primary school education that includes reading

There's no pre-requirement lore-wise. But you can start with EoD as it's an easier read.

She had bodyguards, and look at that, she managed to survive without actually meeting him until she saved his useless hide by making him think he died.

It was a compulsion that he willingly submits to. Although do you have the article that says it's been confirmed otherwise?

Snaff :-(
Fuck you Logan.

I mean... I couldn't even be sad for the tragic parts at the end. Snaff, or even Glint weighed heavy on me, because I was too mad at Logan for ruining EVERYTHING.

I want Snaff back!

Hope that Logan gets pulled to the bottom of the ocean by Bubbles and dies.

She may have been overrun by the ogers....hard to know really. By rallying the charr Logan bought them time. And there was some discussion that it took a long time to cast that spell. It wasn't just her either, it was her bodyguards who are also mesmers.

Aye....total Jerk.
While my sig may say I want Logan and Rytlock to reconcile....I want Rytlock to beat the living crap out of him first.

Bodyguards who had time to cast said spell even before Logan and his troops could get to her. She could've lived without him. As for the read, no she didn't force him to come (though she could have... yawn), but Logan would burn Kryta to the ground for her, which is why he willingly bound himself. It doesn't do any justice to the character or make either of them more approachable or respectable in any manner. I just hate the both of them more for it now. No "greater good" or "For Kryta or humanity" was ever there. Jenna was a scared little princess on a warfront and Logan's... ugh I'm disgusted even thinking about it.
I mean I've done some stupid stuff for a crush, but let's be real here.

In the long run, I believe Logan's douchebag decision was for the better, even if he did not intentionally intend for that series of events to play out (which he didn't).

Though, now I'm a bit conflicted since I just remembered... the "cost" of what he did, which is virtually irreplaceable honestly.

I agree with you. He wasn't really needed. Sorry if it sounded like I was defending him lol. I'm not. At all. I want him burned at the stake most of the time.
That was just a reason for it that was put forward before, one I don't agree with either. #
I really hope the bringing together of DE in game is done much better than its separation in the book. It felt so bland and unbelievable.
