This might be a dumb question sorry. Are there specializations for the classes or does it just depend on your weapon type that differentiates how you play a class?

Also is it pvp like Dark ages of camelot type? I am not sure I understand the pvp system.

I don't know much about the PvP, or anything about DAoC, but as for specialisations, there is a trait system that you use to improve your character in certain areas. I think the following links could explain it a whole lot better than I can!

Well I keep hearing about realms fighting against each other and its not just fighting against another faction. So I was wondering if it was like daoc where they had 3 realms fighting against each other and at times 2 of them will work together to help kill one off and its a bit more entertaining since it wasn't as cut and dry one faction fighting against the other. Or does realm just mean server when its used in guild wars?

ok cool I think I understand the traits a bit now. I was confused and under the impression people could do anything simply based on what weapon/stance they were in at the moment.

Also are there going to be mechs that the Asura either control by magic or ride in?

I don't think you will be able to dodge/roll over and over. From what I heard it sucks a bit of energy to perform such maneuvers, making it something you have to do situationally and be smart about when you do.

People can still get different abilities based on the weapons that they weild, but the traits can allow you to specialise in certain weapons if you wished, making them more effective with certain weapons than others who haven't.

It sounds little different from the "fatigue" system of the Elder Scrolls series, which IMO was a good system and I think it'll add a much more immersive feeling to MMOs, removing the sort of "sleepless, untiring robot juggernaut" feeling that can develop when you can literally down EVERYTHING in one night.

Yes, one of the Asura racial elite skills is a golem battlesuit.

If you're wondering what that means, on your bar the last slot is reserved for an "elite" skill.
Elite skills can be racial or class based, and are very powerful but have long cooldowns (12 minutes in most cases).

There's quite a bit wrong I noticed in your thread, but 2 main things that bugged me:

Yes, there are quests. and no, it is not an OPEN persistent world but closed

You don't understand the meaning of Closed Persistent World, come back when you do.

There are no quests, it's called dynamic events (the difference is that you actually see stuff happening rather than only reading about them, and that there's no grind involved).

Please explain what you mean by "closed" persistent world, afaik there's no such thing.

Then do explain, since both of us don't seem to understand what you are referring to.

Considering you can run from one side of the world to the other without any load screens (which they have mentioned is possible and could take a great deal of time to do so) seems pretty open to me

Because talking to an NPC and going to do x chore isn't a quest right? Have you even paid attention to the personal storyline
