It doesn't sync with anything already working. What it does is it holds every action until the next trigger (say 10 seconds).

So if you push /dance * at 9:40:13 and I push /dance at 9:40:18, we both fire at 9:40:20.

But if I pushed mine at 9:40:23, yours would go off at 20 seconds after, and I wouldn't be able to sync. Does that make sense?

I'm trying to play with my friend, but we always end up in different "shards", and clicking on Join in doesnt seem to do anything at all?

Am I missing something? How would i do to meet my friend in the outer area, like Queensdale?

Join In should be working. Being in the same party as my girlfriend, the game has automatically placed us together, except for exactly once, but Join In worked that once for us.

I was, I used it, yet when we knew we were in the same place because of Skype, we couldn't see each other.

So I found a strength booster in a black lion chest which gives mi 5% dmg for one hour. As the store is not really usable I can't see if they#re also buyable with gems but...

I thought there was supposed to NOT be items like this?

Someone mentioned how GW2 was more superior then WoW @ Plains of Ashford Map Chat (Far Shiverpeaks) and he basically got eaten up by a lot of people. Haven't seen more then that, but probably has been a lot of talk.
