Actually you are not speccing in certain weapons at all. You can be (and should be) specialized in evry weapon at a same time. But you can modify your weapon skills by traits system.

There was an interview where they confirmed there will be no "quests" at all. Personal story is not classified as quests, hence why they call it personal story.

Ok, I've had another look over traits and an image of the trait interface and I think I get what you're saying. So, you can assign traits to every type of weapon your character can equip, but only Weapon Set 1 and 2 can be switched between in combat, and the rest are dormant until you change your weapon sets?

You can reassign your traits at any time so it's not an issue at all.

About quests - or no quests - there will be npc's around the gameworld with green starbursts over their heads, that indicate that this person will help your personal story move along.

There will also be "scouts" around the gameworld that you can talk to, that will point you in a general direction of where the action is often found, like close to dynamic events.

If you just run around and explore, you might see an npc running towards you, screaming for you to help a city or something. You can chose to talk to the npc for more info, but you dont have to do that. If you see a town burning you can just ignore the screaming npc and just run to the town and immidiatly be a part of the event.

Edit: Also, some events - or even chains of events - can be started by you out of curiosity picking up a rock in the wilderness, and it turns out some nasty creature had his home under that rock. There really are a lot of ways to start events, and I don't think they are going to tell us all about it. I get the feeling they wanna leave some stuff out, for cool surprises to be found out by the players themselfs.

Fatigue mattered at the beginning of most ES games, and then once you got passed level 20 you could grab a daedric war hammer and swing to your hearts content...

So if you come in contact with a situation then it automatically starts what if you have to log? If you don't save a burning city and have to log off when you come back is everyone going to be dead and you'll miss out on being able to experience that dynamic event?

Other people will either succeed or fail to extinguish the burning city. They might even help reconstruct the city before you are back online.

Druxray: Short answer, Yes, you will miss out. But lets say you missed something and a town got taken over by bad guys, then that will kick off a new and different event that you can take part in. The events dont give loot, they give karma points, so it dosent matter what events you chose to take part in.

But eventually a chain of events will get to it's end if no one does something to stop it or reverse it, and then at some point down the line the chain will restart. So if you missed out one time, you might bump into it next time you're in the area.

The only quests are in personal story, so it's not your average quest. It is an persistent world just like WoW is, the large areas are instanced off. It's not comfirmed yet if there will be portals seperating the zones on the live game since so far they have been in the demo with no entry signs on them.

You will miss out on the DE you don't finish, but like above poster said, you will be able to experience the aftermath of it. Weather it be the town was taken over by bandits, or the event previous to the burning of the town etc. You should still recieve a reward for been part of that DE though when you log back in.

I was correcting the OP, he states both of those things in BRIGHT RED.

This game is definitely worth paying attention to.
The video isn't a contest entry, I was still editing it when they announced that.

Let me know what you think!
    That video was excellent!

Great video, I wish the guy had more footage to work with, but it was informative ,pretty much stated what most of us were already saying. I really can't wait for more new info to be released.

I don't think you understand what an open persistent world is. It is not like GW1's world where it was a closed world, like I said above GW2 is an open persistent world like WoW.

I managed to miss it on that page (don't know how, been following this thread pretty closely), so I appreciate the re-post, at least
