I heard they didn't have any intention of adding any new classes.

Of course that was before the game even launched. And not so much them but what someone on a forum said they said.

I'd love to see a new class. Or new weapon. Or new skills.
Or even an xpac announcement at this point.

Now off to see if I can get the most out of this gamepad and see if I can get it to work with gw2.

could still happen I suppose but they also said each city would have mini games as well and that will never happen (very doubtful anyway)

I think you are confusing it with the (new) legendaries / precursor crafting, they never mentioned a date for the release of new weapons.

No, they wanted that and new skills and weapons. It will still happen but they wanted it by the end of 2013 which didn't happen.

Can you find me the quote? I just read the interview on mmorpg and there was no word about that, just that new weapon-combinations are in the line for the future. Also the official blogposts I read had no word on new combinations for the end of 2013.

Of course, I also think they should combine mace/scepter.

I'm hoping to get GW2 for my birthday next month. What's the state of the game at the moment? Worth getting?

ETA: And what are the specs required? My laptop is ok, but hardly amazing (not sure about the exact specs).

the game seems pretty healthy to me, definitely worth getting

not sure about the specs but my computer runs pretty hot when I play it (and I can play just about every modern game nowadays on decent settings)

Huh, just noticed today that the Laurel vendor has a tab for Season 1 rewards. All the stuff the zephyrite was selling for tokens are 25 laurels/15g to buy. Including dolyak tonic and panda pet.

Yeah I noticed it recently too.
I'm actually not sure how I feel about it. On one hand if you missed LS1 then yeah it's great that you can get these items now, on the other hand it's kind of a dick move for those who had put in the effort to obtain them.
But then again GW2 isn't exactly an elitist game so let's go with the first one.

Yeah we all could have known, limited items never really are that exclusive in the end. I would have enjoyed at least one or two items unique to those who played so you can show off "I've been there".
This is why I kind of enjoy my spinal backpiece, it's a bitch - nearly impossible or it takes ages - to make now.

But I still am upset about the shattered wings. I really really want them and I'm praying to still get those OR get something better next dragon bash (assuming Dragon Bash will never happen this year, since last Dragon Bash was june 11-july 9)

There's a few items I'd love to have gotten but didn't have the resources at the time. The greatsword chainsaw skin for instance. The stuff from the token vendor/ laurel vendor, I either already have it or don't want it. I was thinking of getting the mask of the night or the twisted shoulders, but the only reason I don't have them is because I deleted them before the Wardrobe, so it seems silly to buy them now...

Meanwhile there's plenty of old gear that they haven't reintroduced in any way, it's very strange.
