My dear boy, do you ask a fish how it swims? Or a bird how it flies? Of course not. They do it because they were born to do it
+1 if you get the reference
for real now, just go with the easiest ones and work your way up
minipets, rare pets, armors, hero armors, are all damn easy
Monk, I need a monk!!!
Imo for hom I'd use the gwamm guide on http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Gwamm
You'll get quite a bit of money from vanquishing/prot/guardian and with that money you can either powertrade or buy stuff like armour/minis (I went with trading a bit) and ofc farm the hero stuff yourself most of those aren't hard to do at all.
For armour I just salvaged most normal drops.
And ofc playing since the first month helps since that's a lot of pets to trade
@odeeze
If you're having issues with skills/builds I'd go to http://www.gwpvx.com/PvX_wiki I did all hm stuff with the 3necro builds (sabbway/discway) and hench and nowadays I run with 3nec 2rt 1mo and as last 1mo/ele or a spike char it depends on the foes.
However the best thing you can do is play multiple chars for your hom survivor title for instance is alot easier on sins due to "kegfarm" and there's other things easier with certain classes aswell.
I'd go with vanquishing/ hm missions first and then settle with "the eternal conqueror of x" statues up to 25 is easily doable. And I'd save minipets for last since that truely is nothing more then a moneysink (you can use dif kinds of armor/weapons for dif situations)
And ofc do the "dailies" as often as possible so you can get op weapons (don't use them unless you really like the looks) and sell them( with that money you can buy the cheaper destroyer weapons (half of my weapons are dest), and rep/money/zcoins to get other stuff.

sry to make you go to all the trouble of writing out what to do to get 50/50 i just can't muster the enthusiasm to play and get all that. it's the style og gaming that GW1 has that kinda turns me off and at this point i will either go without, coerce someone to do it for me, or pay someone.

I know all classes can dps it is just that so many people when they hear the word Guardian, all they can possibly fathom is them being a tank,so I just wanted to make sure people who have not played the game can be reassured that they can really do great dps and that the word Guardian does not just mean, sit there and get smashed in the face. I mentioned them specifically because of all the posts I have seen about them that people worried about their capabilities or lack there of.
I have a question about this game, it looks very promising in most aspects but i have one consern. When you hit max lvl, since there are no raid instances and the gear you obtain from the dungeons are mostly cosmetic, what will you do when hitting 80? Is it PvP? do you continue questing?
Thanks in advance
You can PvP. You can craft. You can explore and do more events. You can run dungeons. Since your level scales down when you enter a lower level zone (correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember that being the case) you can go back and do lower level content without one shotting everything (it will probably still be easy).
Have they said anything about how long it will take to get to max lvl? I know that unlike most mmos all lvls will take the same amount of exp and time (or something similar). But have they given any time on one lvl?
They said every level should take as long as the last to reach other than the first 1 or two in geting out of the tutorial. They are also trying to have level be relitivly meaningless. On at least one occasion they stated they didn't even want levels in the game initially but most players wanted the levels as a benchmark of progress. The answer to what to do at max level is you do the same thing you've been doing to get to max level.
Who is John Galt?
Neth, the main selling point is that you don't need to reach max level to enjoy the main bulk of the games enjoyment. Players at level 8 will be having as much fun as players at level 80
They said it won't be like usual. They posted a graph about it and if I remember correctly (and they haven't changed anything), once you hit around 20-30, the amount it takes per level doesn't increase much. So after a certain point, there will be a plateau where you will level at a pretty steady rate.
I believe it was level 10, don't think of the levels as something you need, they are arbitrary, think of it as if one big skyrim - where u explore and do your stuff, do dynamic events, do dungeons. Remember scaling works both ways if you are level 80 and go to lower area, you scale back - so you will always have a challange, if you are level 8 and you go to level 50 area, you have a chance to scale up as well. So as I said - dont think of levels as something you need. After tutorial (the first quest) - you are already in the 'end game'.
