Entering beta phase the only things we'll need is that game developers continue playing their game, giving they wont sell out their minds (and continue playing it after release).
I'm sure that there will be plenty of people who are willing to give good feedback. There are some people who will just play the game and not even care about helping out with their information, but there are lots of people who want a good game, and will report things that need to be reported. If I saw something wrong, I'd definitely want them to fix it before launch. I'm sure lots of people would do the same. Hopefully. =)

Every time you kill a guild lord in the mission(You can easily kill 4 of them each time), it has a chance to drop the "Stolen Sunspear Armor".
Just went to check it out. I'll see about getting the mission done once my friend's got time again. Thanks once again for the information.

Though someone did give me a free Stolen Sunspear Armor the moment I arrived. /shrug

Honestly, I love the idea Anet is taking the time to make sure this game is going to be great. Gives me faith my money spent will be worth every penny. But in all honesty, the "when it's ready" responses are getting quite a bit annoying now. Could be my patience running thin but if the game isn't released until 2013, as used as an example prediction earlier, I'll either find another MMO to play or just stop playing MMOs altogether.

I have been looking forward to this game now for a while, and steadily check this forum on a daily basis. Love the community here that I hope to be playing with in-game soon. I just feel that Anet needs to stop striving for perfection. No game is going to be perfect. Things will need to be hotfixed all the time when changes are made.

So honestly all I'm trying to say is, come on Arenanet, get the beta out so we can dig in and get this thing released already. We have waited long enough. And while I can't resist watching all the vids of new stuff being released in the game, stop showing us the game we are all dying to play and get on with giving us something to play so we can help get it released.

    Just an imo.

The launch can make or break the game. They said the closed beta was going out this year so be patient and depending on that open beta and release will follow. They said that they have very exclusive alpha external testing already. My guess? External Beta testing by late October Early November around the time of SW:TOR release.

This game really does look amazing and I hope they take their time to get it right and make the game meet my expectations. I have a bad feeling in my gut though that some people might not want to stray away from the generic MMO formula because they still want their hand held.

I'd say the Ancient Armors in Remains of Sahlahja are easier to farm, but it depends on personal style. Also consumables help on the sahlahja run very much if you have some.

Is there any chance they will remove the down state in pvp? I can see it getting really annoying over the time.

Yeah but imagine it over the months... then over the years....

    This will get really annoying.

You know, everytime you kill someone he will still throw a few rocks on your head.
Or when you are in a big fight and you are about to die and you just want to take that one guy with you, and you kill him. No wait he is on the floor, you too, you both are now fighting throwing rocks at one another, oh no but you are being overwhelmed and get finished while the other guy get ressed... seriously?

I'd prefer to have a chance to recover from getting gibbed.

What is the cloth you'll say you will grind? I've only added MOX to my HoM since I've no idea how to upgrade my heroes, and I've no idea how to get the weapons/armours for myself.

I am a total noob when it comes to HoM stuff, it's confusing.

Those HoM rewards, are they actually useful or are they just a way to show that you've played the first game?

A Cloth of the Brotherhood is a unique trophy item that can only be obtained from the chest that spawns at the end of Glint's Challenge mission. Once received, you take this trophy to an NPC with the sub-label [Hero Armor] (in the case of Cloths of the Brotherhood, it is Master Armorer Kor in the Central Transfer Chamber) to change certain heroes' appearances. Only after you have done this for a hero can you erect a statue to them in your Hall of Monuments.

    Chances are, if you're in a big fight against a bunch of people, you're going down no matter what. It's going to be harder to kill the guy in the downed state if he has allies nearby because they can prevent you from killing him and they can rez him. But if you go in with some allies of your own it becomes easier for you, and you have a better chance of bringing somebody down because you have other people there supporting you. That's strategy. I can see how it would be annoying in that specific scenario, but like somebody else said... think of it as if you haven't killed them yet, and they still have the last 10% of their health, but all of their mobility is gone. It's really just the same thing as having not killed somebody yet. And I'm sure that almost killing somebody and then dying is annoying in any game, not just GW2. (;

can there be anything more satisfying that to unless the "Finish Him" stomp on a downed player? if not then there in lies the EPIC solution to your problem.

Anyone else thrilled about the Day & Night system? They've released a decent amount of info on it already, from ghostly weapons that glow at night, to entire events that will only occur after dark. I've loved this concept ever since I picked up Pokemon Silver as a kid.
