On my ranger you won't get close enough, on my warrior you wont last long enough and on my guardian, well, you won't last long enough either, but with a "holier than thou" attitude added.

That get smote down with a Ray of Judgment, Hundred Blades or Barrage...

While this takes up the entire right side of your skill bar, I remember hearing that Anet wanted to make that style of Necro viable.

You give up the entire left side of your skill side for a disposable army, weaker than Ranger Pets, where as ranger's only need to use two skills...

Also, I can almost guarantee that their will be some sort of a limit on the number of minions necros can summon.

All of the minions do have secondary spells linked to them though. Like bone minions -> putrid explosion.
