Honestly Rift's Dominator = super gimped gw1 mesmer, all I played in gw1 was mesmer and ranger, and they way to tell you were a good mesmer is when every other spike attempt from the other team was on you lol I miss it but gw2's mesmer does not look like its going to be that strong. There is also no real reason to take a Dominator to any PVE content. Not so for Mesmers- they were highly useful/potent in all GW1 content. Rift's Dom is kinda gimmick class.
