World vs. World will be the best thing ever!
It appears that some Curse representatives from Guru are going to have some footage for us as well in addition to TB, and Mike. Safe to assume this is wave 2 of the press beta.

Am I the only person who does not care for the Mesmer? Maybe guru knows something about the Mesmer that I do not, buthe Mesmer is the last class I want to see videos of.

I have nothing against them, they seem interesting and fresh. I just don't think we need videos made just to cover them. Much rather see thief and ranger videos personally.
I wonder if WvWvW will wind up like Ilum.
And for those who don't understand the reference, I show you this:

Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme!

TotalBiscuit is in the closed beta this weekend and says he's allowed to release the content, early next week we should have some nice GW2 vids.
He says its the biggest project he's taken on and plans to play Guild Wars 2 pretty much full time for the foreseeable future, cant wait to see all this content, he did a brilliant job with the cataclysm beta.

My only concern is that the majority of people won't care about the objectives in WvWvW, I mean, even in Fort Aspenwood who is so simple, 5 or 6 out of 8 people don't capture the mines, don't care about the objective and are only there to pvp each other.

Your avatar... I can watch it forever.
The issues with SWTOR was that the game was based on the idea that players would choose one faction or the other and ideally the numbers between them would be the same. BW should have seen that it does NOT work that way. Players will flock towards a specific faction for one reason or another creating a slight unbalance in population which the losing side will see and there will be an even greater migration from the small faction to the larger. They should have seen WoW, WHO, and god knows how many other MMOs with world PvP and two factions, cannot get their populations working correctly. Which is why they rely so much on battlegrounds and end up killing their world PvP.
GW2 is taking its idea of world PvP from DAoC which proved that three factions work best. You can have one large faction and the two smaller ones can, and will, join up against the larger one. Whatever happens, the smaller faction will not always be the target of the larger one. Sure you will get defeated on occasion, but there will be a third faction also wanting in on the action giving the smaller faction some breathing room.
On a side note: Mythic Entertainment, creators of DAoC, saw how well their tri-faction balancing act worked yet they dismissed it in WHO. What a serious fuck up. WHO could have been an incredible great game if they would have done what they do best. Instead they attempted to compete with the behemoth that is WoW. What a disappointment.
EDIT: I just realized you are talking about performance. Freak it, my points still stand.
