Just bought the collectors edition. I am having a few feelings of regret but its probably because I can't play it now.

I mean, there is no way that everyone invited could have made it, the uninvited joiners (not including me, I'm patient. >.>) may have balanced the numbers out to a number Anet preferred, who knows.

They got a seperate email, with presumably a special link to make an account/register for the test.

I just have a quick question about this game. Since its a buy-to-play game, once you have it in your system you can play it? or does it come with a unique id or something like that? For example, if a friend buys it, and lends the CD or game to me, could I play it? Just curious

The actual client I believe would be linked to the account, but you can download it as many times as you need. You pay for access to the servers, not the client, for MMOs.

It's still an MMO. You log in with your account details (from anywhere) and you are in the game.
If you wanted to borrow your friend's game, he would have to give you his username and password.

I have no idea then. It'll probably be similar though. Pay for the game, you can download the client, and you get access to the servers. The actual client you're using shouldn't matter for which account you log on though.

And I'd guess you can download the client unlimited times, since any other way would be stupid.

It doesn't matter how many computers the client is on, since without the account information the client is useless.

You asking that question makes me feel like I explained it wrong.
It's the same as WoW, you enter in your game key, it is attached to your account, to log into your game you need to log in using that account name and password. You can log into your account from a friend's house, or whatever, same as WoW. >.>

Is there a place like Battle net where you can use your created account for Guild Wars yet, or is the log in still only there to track if you played Guild Wars and get rewards?
