I was given to understand it would always be the last weekend in the month?
I hope you haven't forgotten my role in this little story. I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.
If you give in to your impulses in this world, the price is that it changes your personality in the real world. The player and character are one and the same.
Yh...and people were looking for any logical reason to determine it being earlier
I jest......I've heard several times they'd said they didn't want to put it on the GW1 anniversary, although I've never seen the source myself.
oh squirrel.. so lucky that the 680 is ONLY in china right now :P
I really hope it's this weekend i am overly excited, and 1 more week to go will kill me![]()

I think I've finally narrowed down my race and profession choices (for my first character) to two and two: human|norn and ranger|elementalist.
How's everyone else doing with this? I know I eventually want to create at least one character of each race and class, but trying to figure out which one to START with has been crazy-hard.
Also, on an unrelated note, does anyone know if the pre-purchase offer will expire anytime in the near future? I really gotta get around to doing that (not that I'll have the means to participate in any of the beta weekends for the next few months anyways)...
Just looked at which races looked best to me, crossed out monster/creature races [Charr, Asura, Sylvari] and pet classes [Ranger, Necro]. Pretty easy choice from there.
Norn Guardian & Warrior, Human Thief and Engineer. Mesmer and Elementalist as casual alts... Human or Norn- whatever works at the time.
I didn't use a system at all. O_o
I just know what I like.![]()

It's ok. I can send you screenshots later when GW2 is out so you can share in the goodnessWill that help?
Yh...when I hear something like that from Anet.....I often hear it in a "but we don't wanttttttttt to" voice, with the developers etc standing behind snickering.
Wouldn't say I have a "system" so much as I do not like creatures/monster races or pet class bullshit. Pretty reasonable, IMO.
I don't have such a problem. I like all the races, and all the professions look exciting. I tend to keep a very open mind.
I just know what I like like, if that makes sense.
I'll admit, there are times where I think "I'm going to like Elementalist better than my Thief..." or something like that, but I know I'm going to prefer my Human Thief first and foremost. How did I decide on Human, you may ask?
Well I just know what kind of look I'd want that character to be. I probably have far too many RP characters knocking around in my head, so they end up guiding me.
My Human Thief concept is based on my "primary" character for the most part.

I watched all the skill videos on the GW2 homepage, and the Thief skills quite clearly stood out to me, so it was an easy choice. I loved the Charr right away so that was a no-brainer.![]()
