    min. 6 years school (12 semesters - most take a bit longer due to research of failed exams), 1 year basic work containing 6 months at a hospital and 6 month at a GP, then you probably have to write a PhD to get into the good specialties so write off a year for that and then you get into your specialty - i have no idea how long it will take to get that one.
