    You have 85 levels to learn your class and to stop being a noob. Just sayin

    All serious progression should be over at this point. Sorry, you missed out; join a more hardcore guild or teach people how to play in your guild. If you're not already done with progression, progression probably isn't the most important thing in your guild (and is probably overshadowed by playing with friends or not spending ridiculous amounts of time raiding).

    That is the dumbest statement ever. Those 85 levels of questing and dungeons teach basics at best. Anything far more detailed like min-maxing, proper gemming, enchanting, glyphs and rotation are not learned along the way. If they were who would need sites like Maxdps, Elitest Jerks and Shadow Panther?
    Engineer = Mage

    Biggest possible firepower, yet they keep whining. "SPY SAPPIN' MAH SENTRY!"

    Some people in fact ARE smart enough to figure this out as they go along. The dumb people are the ones who think it's too complicated for anyone to figure out. Just sayin'.

    How do you think the people who created the sites you mentioned came up with that information? They figured it out for themselves.

    No, almost nobody is smart enough to figure out how to maximize their DPS purely from in-game information such as tooltips. Even the most brilliant of players will use external tools such as spreadsheet software and do their own theorycrafting at the least.

    A player can learn to play very competently through common sense using only the info in-game, but they will not learn to min-max using only the info in game. Generally.

    NOW. Let's put this thread back on track? Enough flaming. Negative discussion is possible without actually flaming people.

    Saying that someone needs the nerfs because they aren't 13/13 isn't insulting, its just true.
    This is 100% bollocks. A lot of people haven't cleared 13/13 simply because they didn't start them ASAP, for whatever reason. My guild cleared normal mode at a reasonable pace but didn't advance to heroics because of real life commitments interfering with our raid schedule, as a result raiding was put on hold for 2 months. We started raiding again in March and have been progressing through heroics at a pace that we are comfortable with as we only get to raid 2 nights a week for 3 hours each. We don't need nerfs to continue progressing through this content, we simply need more time because we were late to the party.

    There are exceptions to every rule but there is no way that most people who aren't 13/13 already aren't there because of starting late or taking time off. Maybe you are even one of those exceptions, but maybe you still wouldn't be there even with that extra time. But the fact is that time was there, and for whatever reasons you weren't able to use it. Maybe next tier you'll be able to raid straight through and clear everything pre-nerf but you can't expect the world to halt or the game to revolve around you when you stop raiding for 2 months.
