Well the President could've been born in Russia, China or any nation - The point is that because the President is the Commander in Chief, his loyalty to the United States must be absolute. He must make the best decision for the United States, not some other country. That is why he is required to be born in the United States.

It costs the dems nothing, but now Trump is strengthened within the Republican party, and he is far less electable as a president than, say, Mitt Romney. Essentially Obama forced the Republicans to spend more scarce resources on defeating Trump during the primaries.

^^This is correct and exactly what the dems are trying to accomplish. Furthermore,, the dems will antagonize Trump even more and appeal to his ego to get him to run. Which is bad news for the GOP.

I'm glad it did come out, now to see if it's really real though. We payed that 1 billion debt as tax payers as part of his bankruptcy. The reason why he is rich again, is because he became an entertainment mogul due to the reputation he built. A reputation which was built on the back of tax payers, because him filing for all the bankruptcies, means he was not as good of a business man as he made him self seem. He built a reputation and we payed for it and he is now making a fortune on said reputation that we payed for.

Considering Trump filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection twice on the Taj Mahal, there was no "taxpayer bailout" for him. Look up bankruptcy laws, Chapter 11 is the equivilent of Chapter 13 for businesses. Stops all collection practices while the corporation, creditors and courts restructure payments to be affordable and within reach - with some liquidation of assets where necessary. Only a Chapter 7 would include bailing out via taxpayers are it's a forgiveness of debts, which companies then write off on losses and don't pay income tax on it where it's lost taxes.

The first BK trump filed back in the 90's was planned as part of purchasing the casino from the Crosbeys. His one in '09 was a strategical maneuver to free up cashflow. Part of being a good businessman is working the system... is the system in and of itself flawed and fucked up, yes. But working within that system is part of being successful. You think Obama has paid every dime he should owe for taxes? I'd put $10,000 down saying that he just like you, me, and every other American finds the loopholes in the tax code to lower your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).

Both Trump and Romney are the kind of people we need in office at this moment. Presidents don't write laws, congress does - however the president has more control over the country fiscally then he does legally (through appointed positions primarily). Who better to guide the country out of this debt sink then entrepreneurs or venture capitalists who have taken failing companies and made them profitable time and time again. They understand good business, they understand what will truely help businesses (both large and small) and understand the need for fiscal responsibility.
