6÷2(1+2)
6÷2x3
3x3
9
it's 9, how stupid you should be to aswer 1. First 6/2=3 second 1+2=3, third 3*3=9. Easy.
I did it like this.
1+2=3
2x3=6
6/6=1
Answer is 1
Isn't this the correct way? No matter what your crappy calculator or w/e is telling you?
After further looking into it and actually thinking a bit the answer is 9 ;0

Let me help all of you that haven't passed third grade mathematics.
You do what's in the parentheses first, which leaves 6/2*3, and thus go from left to right. Which is 9.

Why did you create a new thread? Use the search function and post in existing threads!
Why did you necro a thread?
6/2(1+3)
6/2*3=9
Left to right D>M in this case..

It's 9!!! Division and multiplication are read left to right, one is not prioritized over the other.
9.
6/2(1+2) = 3(3) = 9.
why would anybody choose such a horrible notation?
what you learn in school ist that after the 3rd grade or so you stop using the division symbol and write divisions as fractures. then shit like this won't happen and mess peoples heads up.
I'm not sure if in my sleep deprived state I voted for 1 or 9, but the answer is 1 due to mathematical priorities. I mean, I learned about this stuff in fifth grade.
6 / 2(1+2) = 6 / 2(3) = 6 / 6 = 1. Since anyone older than 10 writes division as fractions anyway.
EDIT: And this was on Facebook a week ago, and people were just as bad at their elementary mathematics.

Super casual.
Depends the way you calculate it:
((6)/(2))*(1+2) or 6/(2(2+1))
Answer to the first = 9
Answer to second = 1
However, the first one is the correct way to solve it, if it is written as it is.
