I like the Nazgul idea- building on that perhaps add the Metamorphosis (style) skin onto the drake. Then add shattered lines along its' body (similiar to consescration, far less abundant, and more planned in their paths along the body(try and imagin them as being at a lower level then the skin, as they are not meant to simply sit ontop of the model(shattered/splitting earth type formation) from which green/yellow flames eminate from, isistently biting at the air around it. The hissing yellow eyes staring from the dark blackish-purple skin that runs along its' form.. watching.
