Wait a second? Eminem isn't very good now? If I am correct I am pretty sure he just recorded porbably one of the best if not THE BEST album yet with Recovery...Anyways...

    -Eminem
    -Drake
    -Kid Cudi
And then a bunch of random stuff. And even though Lil Wayne discovered and helped Drake get started, I despise Lil Wayne for the most part especially after that song I feel like flying I feel like dying. Like seriously? Anyways there is my list...

    "Evidence"? Lawlz.

The only "evidence" in such a case would be the dictionary, of which it is clear.

    mu·sic
    noun, often attributive \ˈmyü-zik\
    Definition of MUSIC
    1
a : the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity b : vocal, instrumental, or mechanical sounds having rhythm, melody, or harmony
    2
    a : an agreeable sound : euphony <her voice was music to my ears> b : musical quality <the music of verse>
    3
    : a musical accompaniment <a play set to music>
    4
: the score of a musical composition set down on paper
    5
: a distinctive type or category of music <there is a music for everybody — Eric Salzman>

Hip Hop clearly falls under the first definition, and is arguably of the second definition(which is very subjective). The only people who even attempt to say differently are bigots and small minded fools who like to use hyperbole. And trolls.

Or in this case, all of the above.

Edit: It's also hilarious whenever people who are clearly wrong about something fall back on the "everyone is entitled to their opinion!" thing, because one of the major points of an opinion is that it is not backed up by facts. If it were, it would be a fact and not an opinion. Opinions are generally uninformed and wrong.

This is a very good list- nice to see some Blue Scholar love. (Admittedly, though, I'm going to cut you some slack and pretend I didn't see Kanye's name on a list of hip-hop artists )

Amen. Now if we could just get him to talk less in general, all would be well!

Feels like this thread needs some bumping

OnT: I really have to give Earl some props for some fantastic tracks

Been a hiphop fan for a very long time now, but I've never really researched for proper hiphop radio/podcast streams, anyone know any good?

In my mind, anything by Immortal Technqiue is great. Especially Dance with the Devil. And even though it's considered "mainstream" anything off the Marshall Mathers LP is good.

Lots of good stuff in here, but no Tribe? Seriously?

People Under the Stairs are pretty awesome as well.

Anything in the 80's and 90's. After that, rap went downhill.
"It's clear this is another bash Apple thread. Such things are not conducive to a good discussion."

WRONG! Those are the BEST discussions!
