Ok, so I've noticed that alot of posts are from users who don't really know where they can buy hardware. Or which sites/stores are reliable.

Below I will attempt to compile a list of sites that you should be able to buy from without worrying "Am I actually going to get my items delivered?" or "Am I paying a reasonable price?"

Has anyone tried buying a pc or laptop or various components through ASDA, Wal-Mart or any of the main supermarkets? (I know they occasionally have the odd good deal but yeah never done it)

What do people think about ordering components from outside your own country? Especially in europe area (Finland). Was wondering shall it be worth it in case you get damaged or broken parts and have to return them (how does it work, does it work at all and do you have to pay for the process?).

I know Novatech will pay for shipping costs everywhere they ship too for returns/repairs IF the problem is NOT a user error. (Most decent stores will do this, they value customer satisfaction (IE: Repeat custom) more than the cost of shipping) Their live chat is also very useful in this respect.

I shouldn't imagine that a complete tower would weigh more than 20kg. Certainly not more than 28kg.

As for ordering outside your own country, usually I wouldn't reccomend it, you get all sorts of issues like power compatability (especially when ordering from the U.S) Fortunatly within the EU most companies provide both UK and EU standard power connectors, but if you feel its nesercery, then make sure its from a company that isn't prone to problems in their own country at least. (Fortunatly Novatech is one of those that has a very good reputation, and is very helpful.)

Pretty much the best site if you are dutch. Also, if you make an account you can make a wishlist with the components you want, and the site will calculate the cheapest way to buy (could be 1 or multiple shops, it will have a filter if you want it at 1 shop or want it shipped or picked up etc etc )

I haven't listed Pixmania (UK) as I've previously had a bad experience with them, First they got the order wrong, then they took another month to send out the correct component, now they just spam my inbox with email that just gets deleted within 3 seconds of seeing the "From:". Unless more than 2 people tell me otherwise I won't be reccomending them.
