    Festering Strike

So, I just got festering strike. I'm after a bit of advice on how best to use it, or even to use it, as a Blood and Frost DK.

I'm new to the DK scene and anything would be great,

    Thanks.

Don't use it as Blood or Frost DK.

what xkare said is true. The only spec that can do anything useful with it is Unholy. For every other spec it's entirely useless and can be taken off of your actionbars.

As above have said, useless skill is useless

It's a part of the Unholy spec's rotation, used to convert runes and keep your diseases up until Outbreak comes off CD. If you're Blood or Frost you can ignore it.

Its an Unholy attack. Blood should always use Death Strike, and Frost Obliterate/Howling Blast.

I am still wondering though why it is a frost skill and not an unholy.

Messed up stuff is messed up. Don't worry why it's in the frost part of the spellbook, just know only UH uses it.

same reason why Shadow Bolt is destruction instead Affliction/Demonology

Well at least the infamous tbc shadowbolt spec was in the end destruction iirc.

Because that's where the dart landed on GC's "How to design a class while drinking at the bar" dart set.
