Surprised to see Morgana, Shen and Kassadin having lower win ratios then so many other champions when they are said to be OP and banned in almost every ranked game.

After that, I saw Naut in like every game in ranked. I even saw him banned several times. Morg, Shaco, Shen, Kass and etc are better at stomping noobs than pros (They're not bad by any means though). Most likely explains why normal/average people ban them in ranked. They're also all very annoying. Not completely OP. Just a pain to deal with. Like Kass being largely ungankable past 6.

In the TSM tournament played yesterday Rumble was picked or banned in almost every game throughout the semis and finals. The base damage on his flamespitter is just broken with it working as it was supposed to work. I've actually seen several people go full magic pen builds (Abyssal, Sorc boots, Guise) just because they realize how incredibly broken the base damage is without AP scaling. It seems he's the new flavor of the month.

I wouldn't say Rumble's a top pick in tournaments though.

Looking at it, that's a very impressive list of champions picked. Even if Graves and Corki dominated, both Vayne and Tristana still saw 9 games. Varus actually got picked three times. If we put a cut-off @ 5 (mostly because Anivia is there, no other logic behind it), there's still a very impressive amount of champions being picked in total. Sure, there's a few that completely dominate, but other than that the balance itself looks pretty darn good. 21 Champions were being used in 20+ games, which is pretty good.

Morg, Kass, Shen, Shaco, even some not so popular champions such as Amumu and a fed Nasus require team effort to take down and in average games, people don't really work together except team fights (and most of the time they have no idea what the hell is going on), don't have the right build, don't ward properly, don't shut down properly or simply don't follow good advise.

I have seen Amumu decimate teams so many times just cause he came in, ulti, and everyone on the other team got hit by it, have no counter to it and Amumu's team did the rest. I have won games against very good Morg, Shaco, Kass, Shen, Amumu and Nasus players cause the team was willing to work together and helped each other out rather then looking at XX/XX and whine at others for sucking when it's not that they suck entirely, but have just been countered hard. In some matches, I have lost to these champions hard (and even some other champions) cause the team was clueless and everyone thought they are the pro and whined at others for sucking.

These champions are not OP. They can frustrate you. They are a little difficult to deal but can be dealt with a good team. The exact opposite of Kog'maw you can say, who requires a good team to work FOR him. It doesn't mean he is UP.

Some people don't really understand the word "team play".

Also find it interesting to see Lee Sin, Udyr, Cass and Anivia picked so less. These champions are suppose to be some of the best.

Looking at the games played/win in this tournament, I say Malphite, Janna and Naut are OP and ban worthy.

Malphite is just a meta hard counter, the addition of Diana will even the odds a lot.

Janna is not OP, if your carry cannot sustain itself she will suck hard.

Naut is just a little too hard to make him fall behind :c

Since then all three of the picks people are saying are "OP" got nerfed, Janna and Naut multiple times.

I have this debate with a friend often, basing your picks on the last MAJOR tournament is often dated. Right now Rumble is OP, there isn't really a debate about it, he's just OP and will get nerfed.

Shen just has a global ult that requires little to no coordination to turn a fight around, he just needs to have map awareness and can turn a gank bot into a triple kill for his own team, thats OP.

Well, Rumble isn't OP, more like broken for the moment. He will get fixed, not nerfed.

Janna has been nerfed what? 3 times after that tournament? She got another nerf in the new patch. Malphite has been nerfed twice I think. But the other champions that I mentioned like Morg have also been nerfed. Kass has been nerfed as well? Not sure though. Shen has been nerfed but it's not like it matters. I agree with you that making assumptions from a tournament two months is dumb. But if you combine all the nerfs, they pretty much balance out.

I believe Shen's ulti will suffer the same fate as Twisted's.

I also believe Karthus' ulti will be removed from global to having a large radius like Ziggs. The problem with Karthus' ulti is that it is a guaranteed hit on all champions alive, unlike other global ulti's like Ez's or Ashe or Draven which are more of a skill shot.

Yeah keep in mind that link I posted is fairly dated and happened before those recent Janna, Nautilus and etc nerfs. Its probably the cause of ze nerfs.

Shen's a huge annoyance because everytime I face one they split push top while their team is at bot. And if you attempt to gank him he is either too tanky to kill with 1-2 people. Or he'll Ultimate away from harm. And if you bring more than 2 people to kill him, his team will be able to take your bot/mid or whatever easily. And if you decide to 5 v 4 his team he just joins the battle with his Ult. No consequences. He's a big purple pest. But its better than when he was an UP champion that rarely saw the light of day.

also those stats for tournament picks Fiora picked once, and having a 0 win rate I think my favourite champ needs big buffs not like that lame one from patch before last, REAL buffs, her survivability is godawful (well outside of Ulti's with high lifesteal)

She doesn't really fit anywhere. She's alright in jungle and top but outclassed by others. Like Yi she was designed as a melee AD carry, and they don't "fit the meta." She'd have to become a bruiser. And we have plenty of those. I wouldn't want them to tear her apart and turn Fio into something she isnt.

Lost a ranked game because Graves decided to AFK when we were clearly winning. He then shows up to watch our nexus get destroyed in the end. The worst part was that I almost convinced the enemy team to surrender, their surrender votes turned out 3/2 constantly, but some of them just refused. Was pretty fun how much their team hated eachother that they would actually forfeit a won game just to avoid giving the others ELO.

She doesn't win enough match-ups top to be a real pick. While she may have a fuckin terrifying lategame, she just isn't a good pick top. Very niche.

I once faced a Fiora bot lane as Tris. I felt so sad for her even though she had Soraka as support. The poor thing couldn't keep up with my damage and I hardly let her farm (she had less then half the farm I had, and the same amount as Soraka, who farmed cause Fiora was dead). Felt like calling Riot and asking them to fix her right now cause she is a really fun champion to play.

Fuck the meta seriously.

Can anyone tell me why the hell you get 5 mins of waiting time after abandoning champion selection and then get FIFTEEN MINUTES of wait time on the next abandon? Is it my fault people are troll picking and when I leave I have to suffer and not them? Why do I have to waste similar amount of time I would in a troll game?

In the first champion selection, Xin and Zyra going bot, picking Promote spell so the other people also go "OH TROLL GAME" one picks Janna with Promote and the other god knows what.

Second selection, Akali and Xin top, which is fine, then someone pick Gragas and the other goes Karthus. Ask one of them to change and they ask what's the problem? The problem is that we have 3 AP and no tank. That's the fucking problem. I can go tank, but I can't take Alister to mid -.- Another AP and the enemy team builds MR and we are fucked.

But I had to suffer. Wait 20 fucking minutes cause I didn't want to waste time playing a troll game.
