Highest i've had at some point is #2 on BH guy, #7 on Omni normal, #17 on Magmaw HC, #37 on V+T HC, all as Affli.

In Wotlk highest I had was #2 on rshaman for Valithria 25HC at 1 point, and several top 50 ones on warlock.. good days! \o/

Inwoo - Kel'thuzad US Alliance. Placed in 10/12 10 man Normals (his guild is only 10/12), his gear is not great with some blues and 353 items. Current notable ranks (Demonology):
8th - Magmaw 10N
9th - Halfus 10N
15th - Valiona

If you check his logs you will see he uses Incinerate and no Shadowbolts in Demonology, wonder if hes onto something.

Yea. He is on to using the wrong spell. Shadowbolt scales better and does more damage unless Molten Core is up.

At one point I had one top-100 (87th, actually) for Beth'tilac 10 (normal) as Demo. Currently sitting on two at 124 as Afflic (Halfus and Argaloth, 25 normal), and two top 200 as Demo (Chimaeron 25 normal, Al'akir 10 normal). Had a Shannox 10 that would have been ranked except WoL recorded it as a 25-player >.<

Didn't read the entire thread but from the looks of it we have the entire top 200 in the world (of public parses, of course) all posting on mmo-champ ... lulz ...

The only thing about this tier is that fights like Beth, Alysrazor, Rhyolith, and Shannox are all complete nonsense when it comes to ranks. It depends more on how your guild does it and what your role is than anything else.

Like as it stands right now I will never be able to rank on Rhyolith because there are too many people AoEing in my group. There isn't enough health to hit for me to do another 5-6k dps to take the top rank on that fight. And Shannox is laughable at best.

On the bright side: Baleroc will be the most accurate fight this expansion in terms of DPS because Chimaeron was an asshole with his debuff

I know its not heroic... but..I managed 7th on Rhyolith with 17k dps (destruction) and 16th on Alysrazor with 47k dps (affliction) normal 10 man during the 1st week, that's the best I've gotten

Have to agree. Was ranked #1 Lord Rhyolith 10N for Affliction last night, now 2. So many things can factor into how well you parse on most fights, along with there being a lot of bugged/wrong logs showing as legit. Would argue that Baleroc has the same to some degree, if you're moving to crystals and using cooldowns you're not doing 'max' DPS, or if you're forced to play a spec you're not as comfortable with (ie Destro for Nether Protection).

I know what you mean about the ranks, but honestly I prefer the fact that while you should do your assignments you can at least do effective damage to other adds, its not wasted (except Shannox), and there's not as much RNG. In previous tiers you had Lava Worms on Magmaw; having to stop DPS on Maloriak; people whoring the boss 100% of the time on Halfus; Chimaeron RNG (though this could still be a skillful fight too); RNG on the mind-control buff on Nefarian; the possibility to do excess damage on Sinestra whelps which could ultimately wipe the raid. In Firelands the only problems I have with it are whether you get to go up or not on Alysrazor... I don't :P, Shannox padding (gulity as charged, but hey everyone can do it and its the easiest boss in FL); and the big one Majordomo, since a) People killed it with the Turtle tanking, b) Some guilds have a Prot Paladin and 1 or 2 Mages taking all the Fire Orbs meaning no ranged even have to soak, c) Cat leaps are pretty RNG and affect your damage a lot (though you can still portal 1 every 26 seconds if you play well).
