One person mentioning Daniel Heiman of Lost Horizon, the hell? The genre is pretty much love or hate, but Daniel's voice is I N S A N E!
Nils K Rue of Pagan's Mind and Michael Eriksen of Circus Maximus are two vocalists I love as well.
Marco Sandron of Pathosray has a great and diverse voice.
Jari Mäenpää can not be forgotten, great harsh and clean vocals.
    Tommy Karevik of Seventh Wonder
Michael Kiske might be a douchebag, but also an amazing vocalist.
Jan Thore Grefstad of ex-Highland Glory and Saint Deamon deserves so much more attention (and got some in Norways's got talent!), such a powerhouse!
Can't remember the name of the guy from Winterborn, but that guy is a powerhouse too.

Furthermore, I'm surprised people actually like Anders Fridén..well, I guess the noises of a strangled cat counts as a vocal style nowadays

Wow feels good to know that ppl actually know who this guy is nowadays.
Pineapple belongs on pizza. End of discussion.

Ouch. I like him for a few reasons. Like his screaming sounds almost frantic (Like in Take This Life. I also like Napalm Death for this reason, check our their cover of Back From the Dead), and his clean vocals are pretty good, too.

I mean, seriously, lost horizon is far from being my favourite band, yet still I think they have the best vocalist.
I'm definitely not going to say that Karl Willets from Bolt Thrower or Martin Van Drunen from pestilence and hail of bullets are the best(though they still are pretty good for DM)
First of all, how are people supposed to name their favorite metal vocalist? The answer is:
    1. Must have heard them before.
    2. Make an evaluation.
    3. Decide
    4. Post it on the thread about favorite metal vocalists.

So you are trying to say that people are naming mainstream bands and you are annoyed at this because you like your smaller band that less people like because it makes you feel unique. It's great to feel unique and I have no problem with you feeling that way but please don't take it out on people who like the bigger bands vocalists.

OT: Oh Drekmen is going to hate this one, M. Shadows.

Also like Skillets singer can't catch his name though. XD

    Hey everyone

The vocalist from Amon Amarth gets my vote

  7. #227
For me my current favourites are:

Alan Averill aka A.A. Nemtheanga of Primordial. The man has the most amazing voice I've ever heard.
J.R Hayes of Pig Destroyer. Not only an amazing lyricist but his voice is fantastic for the genre.

Can't think of many more true stand outs I've been listening to recently.

Lisa Gerrard pretty much hands down.
    Silhouette - 10 Man Raiding, US-Sargeras

  9. #229
James LaBrie, ICS Vortex's vocals(best one hands down), Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Lemmy Kilminster, Dio, Ozzy Osbourne
