    [Bio] Kevin Brenshaw

    Name: Kevin Brenshaw
    Age: 22
    Race: Human
    Gender: Male

Appearance: An average looking mage with deep black hair loosely laying on his head. He also keeps clean shaven and as clean as possible no matter where he may be. Not out of a hate of dirt or a mental compulsion but simply because of other people's association with dirty people. He wears a set of deep red robes with the hood almost always up. He keeps it in pristine condition as it is a trophy from his days at the academy. Kevin also carries a short sword on his hip with a large ruby in the pomel, more for decoration that practical use. Finally he also has a large satchel with several different runes etched with fire into it's leather surface.

Languages: Thalassian, Common, Dwarven and Darnassian. He knows also knows a few runes. Always the hungry academic he strives to learn more higher class languages associated with magic.

Class: Mage deeply entrenched in the arts of Fire. To a lesser extent ice, arcane and a general knowledge of all other forms of magic.

Personality: In the simplest terms Kevin is an egomaniac. At a young age he was found to be gifted with unusual control over magic and was given many opportunities he would of not of had otherwise. He often only cares about the magi of the world and how they perceive him. He is driven on how he is perceived by others and will occasionally change his attitude to suit others. However as a child he was orphaned before knowing his parents and has strives to prove himself relentlessly against any who might think less of him. Kevin has a tendency to belittle anyone "of the mundane" as he would put it. He is also very prone to gathering trophies from his greatest victories.

Likes/Dislikes: He enjoys knowledge of the arcane, really anything to futher his own powers. He also enjoys the company of other weaker spell-casters, generally, because it makes him feel more confidant about his own skills. The only thing he truely doesn't like is when people don't reconize his skills. As a youth he was constantly praised for his natural abilities and so he still seeks it all the time.

Strengths/Weaknesses: While he knows his way around a sword, Kevin is a weak fighter in this aspect and avoids it religously. The sword on his belt is mainly for appearances and privately as a personal trophy for escaping the trappings of his youth. Kevin exels at arcane combat, specifically in the summoning and control of fire. This particular skill borders on matching most Archmages. However he falls much shorter in his prowess in other schools of magic. Aside from his obviously abrasiveness he often enjoys challenging other Magi, feeling it is the best way to show of his skill. To date these duels have never gone not in his favor and has given him an inflamed sense of power. Last but not least he has a tiny addiction to gambling, especially on fights.

    History:

Kevin never met his parents, nor was given any hint as to who they may be. Simply abandoned in the cold underground city of Ironforge. From the earily age of 5 he fended for himself mostly alone. Not many orphaned children were found in the city but like any other capital it had it's share of homeless. He stole and scrounged to get by. He spent most of his time trying to survive in the city. He worked with a few other children from time to time, sharing shelter, food and tricks for fooling adults. Mostly because the older homeless saw no point in helping anyone other than themselves. However Kevin never truly bonded with others. It wasn't until he was 8 that he was caught with some other children stealing food, once again, by the gaurds of Ironforge. Until now there wasn't much spare resources for dealing with the homeless but the newly rebuilt Stormwind a new Orphanage had opened and sent word of their goals to cities all over to help parent-less children of the last war. The guards decided to put the children in jail for a short time to teach him a lesson about not stealing before being sent to Stormwind.

Kevin had decided a long time ago though that if his parents didn't want him then he didn't want them either. So the idea of being sent to a place to find his parents was not going to happen. Honestly he was just a scared little kid. He decided to escape as soon as possible. Few two days he just watched as the guards moved around and went about their duties. Even from such an early age Kevin was a quick study. On the third night when most of the guards would be going on a shift change he woke the other children and got them to help with the escape. Mostly it involved using them as a distraction, since it was their plan that got him caught. He carefully picked the lock with a thin peice of metal that served as the buckle holding one of his shoes together. They made it to just outside the cell block when they all got caught and thrown back into new cells. Being locked up again infuriated Kevin and a sensation that always pushed him to survive had fire in his mind and he reached instinctively for the arcane might residing deep inside of him. Without knowing what would happen he let the fire in his mind lose and blasted the door to their cell away in a breath of brilliant orange fire. Scared of what was going to happen next he tried to escape again using what he just felt but his body ached and he felt exhausted like never before. The guards were a bit perplexed. He was just a boy and they of course knew he had no parents but couldn't figure out how he would of learnt magic. Juli Stormkettle was consulted on what to be done with the boy. Considering how young he was and that magi among humans weren't exceptionally common. She examined how the door was broken and then the boy himself and decided to take him to the Academy in Stormwind, to be formally tested by Maginor Dumas.

After a restful trip on the Tram he arrived in Stormwind with Stormkettle. She elected against a portal to give him rest and watch the boy. Kevin was given short instruction, so he didn't kill himself this time, and then tested on serveral different aspects of magic. He passed each test with an amazing aptitude for control. Maginor found him a teacher and set him to his studies right away. He was paired with High Sorcerer Andromath and he quickly outshined other students. Magic came as easy as breathing to him. He quickly became arrogant with his own skills and often scolded for showing off or pushing other students to try something they were not ready for. He was not disiplined to hard for his foolishness as he did have a good heart and was devoted to the Academy. However after a few years of training he came to learn how to charm a few of the teachers. Taking advantage of their vast knowledge as best he could. He advanced through the arts rapidly and given much praise but soon it did nothing to comfort him. Class was just easy and safe. Around 14 he became enthralled in magical duels and took to challenging others as often as possible.

Soon after this his value of self worth was truly tested for the first time. More often than not he would challenge mostly those whom he knew he could beat. However on one summer afternoon when he was showing off in the courtyard with a fantasic show of his control of fire, a 10 foot long dragon. A much older student (Lewis Winderson), who had recently came back from the Academy in Dalaran, challenged Kevin after hearing how he had embarrassed his younger sibling. Kevin of course wouldn't back down and so they dueled. Lewis was not about to take him lightly and teach Kevin a lesson. It was a dreadful duel as Kevin pushed his skills to the limit and succeed in out thinking and out maneuvering Lewis after several minutes. They ruined the courtyard and both were later scolded and punished harshly for their actions, but he had won. Even the punishment and the loss of some respect from the teachers did nothing to diminish his pride.

The next years of his life he spent it in Stormwind training and praticing. He didn't travel far except with his teachers when learning something new. He also visited Dalaran once but found the lack of practical application of offensive magic within the Academy there disappointing. He enjoyed combat and relished at the opportunity to imporve his fighting skills. After his last duel against Lewis he took to holding them in more private venues and gambling, which has become somewhat of an addiction now. Over time in Stormwind he developed quiet a reputation as a duelist. Kevin also found that dueling in teams made things easier for him and would pair himself with others he could easily manipulated into being his sheild. After awhile though this attached to his reputation.

At the Age of 21 he finally graduated from the Academy and was working out what to do next with his life when the Elements broke forth into Azeroth. He helped defend Stormwind form the crushing elements of water and wind, but only to gain some reknown as powerful mage. When Deathwing finally descended on Stormwind he helped defend and protect the mage district from the destruction. Since seeing the power that this one dragon held, one would think that it would put him in his place but only strengthened his resolve to become even stronger. From here he set out to gain strength and prove himself.
