incinerate vs shadow bolt how bad do i look

So i recently leveled up a demo warlock to take into pvp and am loving it, im 84 now and decided id prolly to some pve in my spare time. However ive always been a big fan of incinerate over shadow bolt, it looks cooler and albeit a slightly faster cast time. shadow bolt currently hits slightly harder is it super set in stone that shadow bolt is the intended filler for demo while waiting for molten core or is the room for deviation basically how big a sin is incinerate in pve?

Yes incinerate without molten core is pretty horrible compared to Shadow bolting in terms of pvE

if you play destruction you'll get to spam incinerate, infact... the 30% haste from backdraft will let you cast even more incinerates!
