I haven't been able to find info on this anywhere. When clearing trash in Firelands occasionally a message will pop up regarding the Huntsman's Horn in the distance (something along those lines).
What is the significance?

It indicates how much trash you have killed for Shannox to spawn. Horn will sound 2 times I think then next time a horn should sound the boss spawn instead. Basicly Shannox needs a specific amount of trash killed to spawn

killing some trash makes Shannox spawn and start patrolling.

u hear horn 2 times and 3rd time is shannox spawning
