volcanospike, i assume this is what you are talking about, being a boe, could be one of the 'shared loot table' items that rarely drop from any firelands boss. it is indeed boe, and sells for 60-100k on my server. i may be mistaken, but i'm pretty sure that is how i understand it.

I don't see the problem. Overall we have a shitton of useful BoEs this tier so why not have 1 more.

They could very well make 1 item of each boss BoE just so guilds can earn very well and nonraiders who for some reason want gear can buy it.

There's a number of BoE raid boss drops this tier.

It's odd but kind'a usefull for guilds clearing all the content.

No, it only drops from Lord Rhyolith.

Arachnaflame Treads are BoE too from Beth'tilac. But these are only Normal versions, Heroic versions are BoP.

Most bosses in firelands have a BoE item (Coralwalker sandles off shannox, spell power shield off Beth, leather bracers off gatekeeper). Its happened in previous tiers also, though heroic Versions are always BoP

Nah, a lot of bosses have BoE items that drop only from them. Beth'Tilac, for example, has a BoE caster shield if I remember correctly, among lots of other bosses.

its the same system of ulduar which i love it

the main idea is, many top guilds can earn cash from it and less stuff getting de-ed since you can sell it

my guild regularly sells those BoE lol

I would assume it was done this time due to the large loot tables. More boe's on them means guilds can buy or trade for what they need.

Blizzard said quite some time ago that the boe's are there for progression guilds to sell as a source of income to cancel out their costs. We're not top tier but we sell them as well if they aren't a huge upgrade or bis. Helps lower the cost of free repairs and cauldrons.

We have the Goblet of Anger just sitting in our guild bank, waiting for a healer to get a mainhand, and we got the caster cloth bracers off Majordomo last night, no idea how much their worth so their in the bank for now, I assume not much because of the ease of getting valor wrists atm.
