This will definately make the next expansion.
Not to Blizzard.
Can't say "Most"; all we can do is say "a lot".Most players play WoW With names on
Trouble being this approach relies on UI elements which may be turned off or cluttered away into uselessness. Silhouette is important because its simple, always on, isn't as troubled by screen clutter and doesn't provide infomation overload.which means even if you are Ally and are with a whole bunch of ally Pandarens, and you see a Pandaren with a red name, theres no confusion, "red = dead".
A hero class based on a single race that isn't available via other channels...would be a huge expense for very little gain given WoWs current game engine.Plus there's the two theories of choosing what faction you want at lvl 10, or the Pandaren Monk (or Brewmaster) as a hero class like the DK's, I think they really could pull off including Pandarens as a playable race.
As things stand....and they could change....Blizzards continuing reliance and support for the silhouette system rules out any possibility of the same race being available to both factions.

Based on Lore Night Elves are a variation of Troll race. But that wasn't the point of my post, I was talking about the differences in their silhouettes being in line of what Blizzard said they want to do for pvp.
Besides, they recently said that the speculation about Pandaren is abit overhyped, so IMO Pandaren are NOT going to be a playable race in this expansion atleast. They'll be more like a Tuskarr were in Wrath.
Two Bear like races, sharing a Panda theme, located on the same island....
There would need to be a reason Blizzard would want to do this since it would be effectively designign and implementing two races anyway. Why would it want to dilute the flavour of both races, and cause QQ on both sides given that the effort saved by doing so is next to nil?
Its not impossible, but I'd hardly call it likely.
EJL
Well...no, they didn't. They denied nothing and confirmed nothing.
The answer given was VERY evasive. Essentially - "In the past, we've only used Pandaren in out of game products because they aren't in the game". The "over hyped" comment also is very weird....nobody is quit sure what he emant by it, and he could be referrign to speculation that there will be a race able to choose factions...or a HERO RACE....or whatever.
Its a pity he just didn't say "Thanks for the interest in our trademarks but thats somrthing we'll need to discuss another day"; all TCs answer did was fuel specualtion that he is trying to hide something. The same thing happened with the Worgen/Goblin masks.

It IS called "MISTS of PandaRIA" - Not Rise of the Pandarens or the likes.
This might be more about the nation of Pandaria, than about Pandarens.
A question to ask is: Mists... Are they normal for Pandaria?
We could be shipped off to Pandaria to find it covered in mist, and no Pandaren there. Mists are somewhat mysterious, and I would like it if the whole expansion was about what had happened to the Pandarens. Did the Naga kill them? Did the Kvaldir drive them away? ... Did the Burning Crusade have something to do with it?
Ever hear of avoidance?: the act of avoiding or keeping away from: the avoidance of scandal; the avoidance of one's neighbors.
Darn, you beat me to it!
The only way I can tell the diff, one is attacking me, the other is not.
I'll quit WoW so fucking fast if this is the actual expansion.
Theres a billion other great ideas for another expac if they really resort to Pandas Iam calling it quits.
From most perspectives people feel the same to so I doubt they would release something that less then half the population would enjoy.
It just sounds like a terrible idea to me, having Pandas for characters. One I cant take them seriously, two I havnt read anything about them in WoW lore. I know they are kinda big in Warcraft lore but thats another story. If anything Ogres should be added to Horde and something for Alliance.
It has always made sense them being on the Horde to me their a total Horde character. Plus even though most arent that intelligent they are still very prominent and powerful throughout all of WoW. Plus there are some really powerful ones, Cho'gall comes to mind first. I think they could do a much better job implementing that into WoW versus some Panda garbage.
Lore: Google "know your lore tinfoil hat edition the mists of pandaria" I would post a direct link, but "You are not allowed to post any kinds of links, images or videos until you post a few times."
And without Warcraft lore, World of Warcraft lore would not exist. And these "most people" that you speak of, are only the ones who feel the need to make fools out of them selves by shouting. Most of us know that whatever Blizzard does, they will do it well, and we will love it. BTW, I know people who complained because their was less lore for the dreani then the pandarens. Take that into consideration.
Wow.As for prot... haha losers he dmg needs a nerf with the intercept shield bash wtf silence crit a clothie like a mofo.
Ok, first of all you not being able to take them serious is simply you being thick headed. There are plenty of insane things in WoW that people have no problem with (The tauren for example, giant cow people that ride dinasours). And WoW lore and Warcraft lore are not "another story" they are the same continueing story. Also The Pandaran are a single race so they will not be playable, there will most likely be a new hero class as it alternates. Races, class, races...probably class. ALSO Pandaran will not be for whole focus as we will see many island including Kul Taras and Zandalar at the very least.
