The info is good. But the timing sounds like the exact opposite of "smart move" to me.

You are intentionally adding a ton of extra sub-systems between yourself and your ability to play at the most critical time, plus the time you are least likely to need those services. Extra systems = extra points of failure, especially for a large and complex software launch.

This is on top of these authentication services being just introduced with launch around the corner. How much testing do you think they got?

I'd recommend leaving it a week until things settle down. Let the launch population beta test everything optional like this for you and for them to rollout the inevitable fixes.

I don't know about "clever" "witty" or really "original" But I've definitely got a theme. For WoW every toon except for one that I have has chicken in its name. Doomchicken, Brewchicken, Bankchicken and Spychicken. I hope to incorporate a couple of those into Wildstar.

I got tired of thinking of alt names on WoW (had Nirawen, Nirawén, Nirawyn etc) and incoherently named one Trollskidder which started a pattern that ended with Trollskidder, Trollflopper, Trolltiddler and Trollflavour (not a refence to 'internet trolls').

Get a good password manager, like the open source KeePass (accessible from mobile devices too) and generate yourself an unbreakable, i.e. strong password for every site you use.

Never need to remember passwords.

Never need to rely on and inconvenience yourself with different extra authentication services per site.

Never need to worry about being hacked.

If you are hacked, it is because the whole site has been hacked and no amount of authentication or encryption would have saved anyone. However, in your case, due to having a different password per site, all the damage will be contained to that site.

You're experiencing the same thing as me. Even under my NCSoft account the game has disappeared. I submitted a ticket, but the only thing we can do is wait I suppose.

Well the story dungeons are designed to be done solo and to deliver the bulk of the story for people interested. What little I saw of them is there is a bit of combat but nothing very crazy, because that's not the point.

Because they are solo dungeons (and as such are smaller than group content) I suppose it's possible for them to do those every month in addition to other content. That's not how I understood their current plan though.

They weren't unlocked before so unless i missed something we couldn't get to play them yet. As for challenging solo play, veteran shiphand are on the development cycle.

Maybe I'm missing something, but technically what's the difference between a shiphand and a story dungeon? Is it just difference in size and relevance of the story to the main plot or there is more to it?
