Does anyone have a proxy guide?

I'm at school and they have blocked WoW, I have nothing to do for the next 2 hours and I would like to see if I could use a proxy for playing WoW.

You mean a guide on how to set up a proxy?

I'm using these and change manually each week or so. Currently using a http, https and a socket. Just find a list of avaiable proxies, I personally like Hidemyass Proxy list. Depending on which browser you use, you just put in the IP address and the port number.

Or you can use a program which automatically change it, like TOR project.

I use a VPN relay in Fremont, CA to dodge 85% of the awful AT&T nodes between here and Los Angeles. Although it takes a bit of knowledge to set up.

I have my relay set up on http://www.linode.com/ .

Not quite the same as a proxy though.

I'm familiar with VPN, but I'm looking for free alternatives. While they might not be as good, they're free

I'd rather use VPN actually, though as said before, free is better.

from what i understand you can use openvpn for free with a 2 user limit
install it at home or at the parents and good to go
wouldn't recommend tor or any of the random proxies is thats a good way to get your account flagged when your account is ip hopping all over the globe
